Hello druger81, and welcome to the forums. Unfortunately the cables for the G2 are not compatible with the G1.

Is it all the cables or just certain ones? I would be willing to spend the $30 for the set if at least a couple of wires would work, mainly the one for my video card.

I would certainly like to find some combs that fit these cables. I believe Cable Mods must be using an 18 gauge wire or the sleeving is a thinner diameter than these. I've tried the Cable Mods combs and they just snap and break due to their hard plastic consistency, If some knows of combs that will fit the 24 pin cpu cable and the vga 8+6 pin let me know.

Yes that would be nice...I know a lot of people who like that color and I saw many of them use from MDPC-X. They have Titanium Grey, Platinum Grey... I saw somewhere and Titanium Silver.... But I will not like MDPC-X sleeve until they start to sell 3mm instead only 5mm.

You have Shade 19 which is an anthracite color. More black than it is grey. Then there is Titanium Grey and the new color Platinum Grey. The 3mm does make cable sleeving easier, but the MDPC sleeve can be used on more items because of it's expansion. Plus with a proper stretch, it looks awesome. I opted to go the MDPC way because I want to do a mix of color and that wouldn't be possible using with the EVGA or Cablemod wires. But in the overall scheme of things, if you are looking for sleeved wires in a single color, then going with these sets is the way to go because it's actually cheaper than purchasing the sleeve and doing it yourself. Not to mention the amount of time require to do everything. And Cablemod also offers sets in a mix of colors.

Some stores sell 3mm sleeve cables, only not MDPC-X. That's simply to fat, fat for PSU wires and fan wires, even 3-4 fan wire could perfectly to fit in 3mm sleeve. I can;t wait to PSU cables become one single cable as power cord. Than sleeve could look nice, with plastic on the end as USB connector or similar.

That's already been tried once and it was kind of a hassle to use because it didn't flex all that well. It was a great idea that wasn't quite as useful as you might have thought. Thats the Ultra XConnect PSU. One of the very first modular PSU's to hit the market. Back when 500w was a huge PSU. They abandoned the single cable after that PSU and went to ribbonstyle cables that could be split into the single strand cables we're used to now.

Hey, I'm sending my EVGA 1000W G1 psu in for a warranty issue due to it doesn't power on anymore. Now, my question is, the replacements for the EVGA 1000W G1? because the G1 is discontinued are they going to go with a G2 as my replacement? The main reason I'm asking is because I want the white individual sleeved cables. Now I don't see any for the EVGA 1000W G1 but I see the G2, so does this mean that they are the same?

I think you should ask technical support is it possible to send you 1000 G2 because you would like to buy white sleeve cables. That would be excellent. But if they send you 1050 GS example you have available white cables and for them... EVGA add some new cables for 550/650 GS and for 850/1050/GS/PS models. White sleeve for stronger GS/PS models http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=100-CW-1050-B9 White Sleeve for G2/P2/T2 models http://www.evga.com/Produ...aspx?pn=100-CW-1300-B9

Hello Everyone, New member here, I have searched this entire thread only to find no definitive answer as to whether these cables will work with the 220-PS-1000-V1.Before everyone says no, hear me out.... I ordered the cable set and had originally selected the G2 PSU, but sometime in between adding it to my cart and delivery, I ended up getting a 220-PS-1000-V1. I initially didn't notice the set wasn't compatible until I was having issues booting and decided to try the stock 24-pin instead of the sleeved one. The system booted right up without issue and all the peripherals worked just fine. I have recently moved to an X99 build and plan on getting a 1080 to go along with my new FTW K. I never had a need for PCI-E cables before as I was running integrated graphics in my HTPC. I know that some of the cables work just fine such as the SATA/PERP ones, so my question is in reference to the others such as the PCI-E and ATX 6 and 8 pin. Will they work and if not is it a difference in pin-out(something that can be changed because I really love these cables) or some other reason that would prevent me from modding the cables to work?

Hi guys, i want to make my own custom sleeved cables. As I found out that 6 Pins of the 8 pin pcie connectors are the same, I'm wondering if I can just plug a 6 pin pcie custom sleeved cable to the 8 pin psu pcie but only with 6 wires in it ? thanks

Any chance of a grey kit? I don't really want to risk hardware using a different brand of cable.

Try CableMod. Little or no risk involved.
Nice. That matches my WS mainboard and the middle of the Noctua Redux 140s.

I just purchased a EVGA Supernova G3 750W 220-G3-0750-X1 Fully Modular Power Supply. I have a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming GDDR5 Pcie Video Graphics Card, 4GB. It has an eight pin and six pin power connection. Can I use only one VGA power cable with an eight and 6 pin. Or should I use two VGA output cables?

Yes It will work with one cable that has both ends. If you plan on pushing your card really hard in OC, then you may want to use two cords - as most people tend to do
