How is the G3 looking at getting it. Is it reliable and well made?
 
Also what size EVGA G3 would I need for SLi GTX 1080?

    I have all G2 power supplies bought before the G3 was released. As far as power requirements, I would say the 850 watt would be safe according to the specs released by nVidia although I would prefer 1000 watts for less strain on the PSU. Just my thoughts on the matter.

    I bought one & Love it for it's power output & small form factor
     
    I'm running SLi 980 TI classifieds Overclocked
    5820K X99 Overclocked
    with 32gig ram, Waterpump, Led's and 140mm PWM fans
     
    The G3 1000W runs my system like a champ with room to spare
     
    I Highly recommend this power supply

    I have EVGA 750G3 and I think it is great.  It's inaudible, compact, modular, looks good and was well reiviewed by JonnyGuru.  It's a bit overkill for my system, see sig, but the calculator says I could run sli with it.  I'll never do sli again though...ugh
