Could someone recommend the best driver for the EVGA GTX 680?  Stability being the key.

    Gaming.  The monitor is a Dell #E196FP.  The GTX 680 part # is 2002 0000 and I am running Windows 7 Ultimate.

    I should mention that currently I have driver 376.53 installed.  I do believe it installed with a Windows update.

    You could do a clean Install using this Guide Basic troubleshooting steps. Windows clean boot, clean driver install, debug mode, etc.
    What is your Current or newest game and what game do you play the most. This would be your Baseline for what would be the Best Driver.
    In Windows 7 Driver will show as Optional as an install so you can Hide the Driver update and it will not show up.

    So should I remove the 376.53 driver?
     
    As far as games right now, and the beefiest, they would be Kingdom Come Deliverance and Dying Light.

    Are you having any Problems or Issues with the Driver you now have installed, then I would say no.
    Stability to me means No Game Crashes and smooth Gaming.

    A few stutters here and there.  My main concern was that the driver edition might be too new for the age of the card.  The Nvidia driver section only lists the GTX 680 up to around 309.  I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to hurt anything, compatibility wise, by running drivers that were too modern and designed for newer cards.

    I am not too familiar with Nvidia, having spent the last 8 years with AMD.

    Are you overclocking the GPU is so reduce it a little.
    Are you setting Vertical Sync (Vsync) on in the Games, that I what I do.
    Driver support shows what GPU are supported and must newer drivers are fine on older GTX 6xx cards for the most part.
    Also each game will tell you what Driver to use, so you should use the driver at that level or higher but not lower.

    Good Place to start as I posted above is on each Game Website and Forum.
    It takes a lot of time to research this.

    Why I suggested the drivers I did...
     
    #1 Last driver that had updates for dying light was driver 347.52. I suggested 347.88 because I personally know it's a great stable driver.
    #2 I suggested 378.66 for Kingdom Come Deliverance because it was released worldwide in 2017.
