Hi

I was just wondering if your planning on releasing updated drivers for this laptop (evga 1070) as the ones currently on the website are from april 2016.

I also couldn't get evga precision mobile to work (it says mfcu.dll or something is missing), is that an issue with the software or windows 10?

If I use desktop precision software will I be able to overclock?

If I get updated drivers from the Microsoft website instead of the evga website, will this work?

regards

The driver page is a bit out of date for the SC17 with the GTX1070.  I have asked for that to be reviewed and possibly updated.
In the mean time, the drivers at NVidia's website should be good.  http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/378.49/378.49-notebook-win10-64bit-international-whql.exe

As for Precision, the mobile version is what is designed for the laptops.  Unfortunately it has not been updated for a while and isnt stable in the latest versions of Windows 10.  I believe EVGA is aware of this.

I would not recommend using the drivers from Microsoft as they dont always offer the same features as those from NVIDIA.

Dell has warned its Laptop owners to use only Their Approved Drivers for the Graphics Cards, Mine is the GTX 970M.
This is the Notice you see when you download an M Series Driver over on NVidia's Website.

As part of the NVIDIA Notebook Driver Program, this is a reference driver that can be installed on supported NVIDIA notebook GPUs. However, please note that your notebook original equipment manufacturer (OEM) provides certified drivers for your specific notebook on their website. NVIDIA recommends that you check with your notebook OEM about recommended software updates for your notebook. OEMs may not provide technical support for issues that arise from the use of this driver.

Driver 375.95 Killed my AW 15 and it took me a better of 3 hours fixing it, this was under Windows 7.
I did install the current or New Driver 378.66 today and so far it seems ok.

Current Approved Driver from Dell is 344.88 and yes it is Old (13 Feb 2015) the month the AW 15 was released.
