Ordering/shipping issues aside, what about building computers annoy you the most?

I'll start. You know how rear I/O on some cases is tight? I hate how you have to jam the mobo in with the force to create diamonds just so the standoff lines up with the holes.

Old computer cases that don't have a motherboard cut out are annoying to install air coolers.

+1, my z170 build took a lot of force to get MB lined up. Had to back off a couple times thinking I was doing something wrong.

So far all of the above.  Well except the water cooling part.   I haven't gotten to that yet.

Cable management slots that are placed poorly.  Usually the lower one(s) near the SATA ports of the motherboard.  Always too high or too low requiring an annoying bend to the SATA cables.

Cable sleeving.  Love the way it looks when its done.  Not that fond of doing it.

This one might be particular to my case, but the drive mounts are in a difficult spot. I have to open up the right side panel (behind my mobo, and where I have some cables), which is a pain with my case because it's kind of tight and hard to get back on. Not only that, but it's also difficult to plug drives into my PSU because of where they're positioned, the cables don't reach in certain positions, so I can only use certain brackets.  The cables also have to be flush or I won't be able to put the panel back on.

The back is intended for cable management, and some cables (such as the power cables for drives) have to go back there, but my case barely has enough space back there.

When you buy (or inherit) a case, and find out that it's M3 only, but you already have a whole bag of 6-32 screws just waiting to go...

and then when I don't install an IO shield or cover and everyone asks, 'Isn't that dangerous?'

Nothing really annoys me in Building or Assembling a computer if it did I would not do it.
I do it all for the fun of doing it anyway.
If anyone is really annoyed by it then they should buy a Dell or HP or any other Pre-Assembled Computer.
This way they have nothing to be annoyed about.

putting in everything as is should be only to find out the damn thing wont turn on and then you spend 3x the time trouble shooting what may be faulty and also the risk of extra cost if you mess up and fry something. Nowadays I just order everything I need for a build and pay another $150 to get it installed by people who have it covered through their insurance if they mess up the installation. To me it eliminates a huge worry and when it's finished I always custom cable manage it myself but not before I know everything is working properly

high profile graphics cards (like the FTW or Classified cards) with a motherboard tray that isn't removable, my screwdriver can't bend that way! (they don't get screwed into the expansion slots because of that)

Case windows displaying the ugly 5.25 and 3.5 stamped steel drive bays that are riveted in (mostly on cheaper cases for rigs I build for others and some older rigs I built way back in the day).  Less of an issue with most mobos now, but the front panel connectors and connecting them to the motherboard.  The front panel AC Audio cables which are ALWAYS 4" to short to route properly so they cut across everything.

    1) Sharp edges inside the case.

Rolled edges are the best; but, when some are just stamped and not deburred - sharp finger cutters for sure - hard on wires too

    2) Waiting all day, for the delivery company to drop off my parts

How about the ever escalating prices on hardware, specifically GPU's. I suppose we have progressed in performance, it just seems a tad bit out of control. Seems like that's the price we pay for not much competition.

Discovering there is no CPU in the sealed box you just bought! Luckily the place I purchased checked their stock and someone had taken them all in that particular series then resealed the packages.

If you have a moment, please rate my service. We appreciate the feedback!
