I'm sure this has been covered but I'm probably overlooking it. I understand that you subtract your rebate value from the cost of the original part when calculating the cost of the step up. But do you also subtract the value of EVGA bucks used? For example $500 dollar card - $30 rebate brings card value to $470. But say I used $100 in EVGA bucks. Does that now drop the value of the card to $370?

I was contemplating waiting for the possibility of 1080Ti launching and getting rid of these 960's I have. But they are killing me with noise, low gaming performance, and low folding performance. So I am thinking about picking up a 1080 and then stepping up to 1080Ti assuming they do launch and that they are released within my step up period.

The use of EVGA bucks should not affect the price paid if I am not mistaken.  They apply just like regular money when paying, so I would think the value would still be $470.

That's what I though, just wanted to clarify. Thanks Matt and Scarlet.
