I am now in the yellow gang.  :(  Started with one or two and now almost all are yellow.

I have a bunch of extra rgb strips so I'll just replace it.

That's what I did on mine. I actually did that as the first thing... Using some regular 5050 RGB non water proof LEDs. The strip that I got was the one with 300 LEDs (spaced closely) vs the 150 LED (spaced too far).

Wow, that is nice.  Mine are spaced further apart so not quite as bright.  I'm glad I replaced the ones that came with the case though, RGB is really nice.  The EVGA plexiglass piece was a fantastic idea by EVGA especially the way they use the light shining on/through it.

Yours and mine both. I can barely tell they're on in a dark room anymore. My gpu outshines them greatly. I had to call and email them some picks, but they said they will send replacement out.

Anyone got a replacement LED strip in the past month or two? And how is it holding up?
I have a YELLOW LED strip for the past few months but I'm waiting to see if the LED strip has been fixed of this annoying issue?

i honestly believe it has more to do with the location that is making it burn the plastic lenses turning them brown than it is faulty LED strips. as it also did the same thing to my CableMod LEDs that i installed into that black plastic shroud.

i would simply buy a magnetic strip and put it on the radiator, or on the case if a radiator isnt installed there. that black plastic shroud just acts like an insulator keeping the heat in the LED's and eventually make them brown, if you leave them on long enough and/or have a lot of hot components in the case.

Yeah, that's what I meant, yellowing.
Good idea about the magnetic strip.
It doesn't look like EVGA's replacements will be a permanent fix, unless they find a permanent fix.
Might as well fix it myself.

I just noticed my LED strip turning to yellow too. It's like every other light has gone yellow. It's not really an issue to me as I've been planning to eventually take it out and line the inside with RGB.

Does anyone NOT have their LEDs turning yellow?  Seems like this is a really bad case of no quality control :(

Mine did after a month or so.  I replaced it and no issue so far with the new light strip...and I can change the colors with the strip i used.  May just be that EVGA got a bad strip vendor. Someone mentioned that where the strip is located at and the piece it's mounted to might be the issue as far as heat but not sure.  I have LED light strips in other parts of my man cave and they are on 24/7 and don't get warm and have been on for going on a year now with no issues so like I said might just be a bad LED strip vendor.

Its not a qc issue this is a design issue. The led strips function as intended and only brown due to overheating. Being tucked into that corner and surrounded by black plastic was just a bad design, especially if there is a hot radiator beside it.

My suggestion to anyone who buys this case is expect to replace the strip at somepoint. Unless you never let your pc get hot.

We don't actually know if it's design yet, could easily be bad LED strips.  I took my strip out of the location with some LEDs still white, and they still turned yellow.  Anyways it is bad quality assurance as they should have tested the LED strip location to make sure this didn't happen if that is actually the cause.  They did not control the quality of the LED strip or location (whichever is the reason for it).  This should have been seen during the long time they were making this case if they were doing good QA & QC.

Hi,
Just an update:
I had one of the strips that faded from white to piss yellow.

A gentleman from EVGA contacted me and sent a new LED strip free of charge several months ago.  I'm happy to report that after thousands of hours of use, the new strip is still a crisp, bright, white color.

Thanks for taking care of this EVGA!

It says I'm a superclocked member, but really I'm just here for the chicks.

well i do know its atleast partially a design issue as it burned up my casemod led strip, pics link in earlier post. if the location burns out a completely unrelated led strip there is a design flaw, though this doesn't exclude flawed LED strips compounding the issue. also this issue isn't something you can easily test for as you would never see them turning colors until you test the case with heavy system loads making the case warm, especially if there is a warm 420mm radiator right beside it. at this point the best they can do is avoid this type of issue with future designs and rma any replacement strips.

I have no radiator in the front but I was curious if I can change because I noticed it wasn't bright anymore so I looked up online to see how to change it and brought me here. Lots of people have this issue it's ridiculous. I already asked for a new led but when they were showcasing this case back in CES the evga logo was blue and I expected it to be blue not white. So would it be better to just replace it with a aftermarket led strip? I want it bright

i would use an aftermarket strip but do not install that strip inside the black plastic housing like they are currently. i think that is whats causing the LEDs to overheat and burn the plastic lenses inside the LED strip.
