You will have zero troubles with Acer, they're a company that's usually overlooked by alot of people. They have many products to offer to compete with any brand. I have an Acer myself. At work right now and can't remember the model #. It's the 27" with GSYNC at 1080P. I'm not going to upgrade until Volta GPUs comes out.

As long as you have a monitor that works and meets your expectations, you're good to go and that gives you ample amount of time to look around.

This question is going to come with opinionated answers, but I want to know. Is the X34 monitor worth getting? It is ultra-wide. I have never owned one of these monitors.

Now that is a monitor with some serious real-estate. The question that I would have is: Have you seen a curved monitor in person? Leaving a flat screen for a curved model is a change that you may or may not like. For me, I would be looking for a business that has a curved monitor is stock to test drive. There's always that chance that you may not like it. But it does look impressive.

I own a XB271HU works really well for me and no bleed.

No dead pixels for me either.

Unlike my former monitor this one has a lot of adjustment options (and features) available. I just have to set some time aside to play with them. LOL

True, I forgot that monitor has a curve to it. And no, I haven't seen a curved monitor in person and/or even know if I will like it. I think BestBuy or even HH Greg would be a good place to look. I'll check there.

I've seen an X34 in person, and I agree with whiskers54; I'd strongly recommend seeing one before buying. It's a very large monitor, and the curved panel may be hard to get used to.

I hope they have one for you to look at. And Best Buy has a price match guarantee.

What was/is your opinion of that monitor and the curve?
