This has stumped me for a week. Have no idea how to get it to work. Recently purchased a new AsRock H61M-VG4 mobo to replace my old one that died. I have a EVGA GTX 750 Ti graphics card in my other PC (HTPC) and decided to move it to my main. Purchased a new monitor so would like to maximize the display. Installed graphics card and plugged HDMI cable for monitor into. Black screen that goes to sleep after a few. Also tried the VGA cable. Same thing. Showing no signal. Went into BIOS for AsRock (very primitive compared to what I'm used to) to disable the integrated graphics card. No option to do so. Closest thing was to default video to PCIE. This was already defaulted. Still black screen. Tried to install NVIDIA drivers and getting the no compatible graphics card found. Device manager doesn't have it listed either or no listing of unknown or generic card. Just the integrated graphics card is shown. Also updated BIOS to latest version. Site mentions gtx 750 ti is compatible with the mobo so I am at a loss on what to do.

CPU - i7 2600 Mobo - AsRock H61M-VG4
RAM - 8GB
OS - Windows 10
raphics Card - EVGA GTX 750 ti

Thanks for your time and assistance. fingers crossed

I just pulled this info from pc-specs.com link here: http://www.pc-specs.com/mobo/ASRock/ASRock_H61M-VG4/2024/Compatible_GPUs. It doesn't list the 700 series at all for compatibility. Sorry!

    Hello,

Welcome to our forums. At this point I would strongly recommend contacting the motherboard manufacturer to confirm if your model supports Nvidia's 700 Maxwell series gpu. It is up to the motherboard and its bios to be up to date enough to support newer hardware.

Such a bummer. I guess since this list showed it was compatible  I just ordered an Asus P8H77-V mobo on Amazon but I see that one doesn't accept it either per the link you provided me. The search continues for a compatible mobo or a new card that is compatible with the mobo. Thanks for all your help. That clears it up.

You should contact the motherboard manufacturer. Keep in mind that the 700 series video board was not in production when those compatibility lists were written.

Good point Zuhl. I just checked PC part picker and they are showing no incompatibilities between that GPU and either MB. I am guessing here but could be a problem with the PCI slot. try new MB when it arrives anyway. That board should support the card.

Been emailing back and forth with AsRock tech support today. They threw it back to EVGA and said to see if there is a new BIOS for the 750Ti. They admitted the last BIOS update for the mobo was back in 2013 and nothing in the future planned. Will wait for the mobo to come in and that should do the trick. Hopefully it will. Was also looking at upgrading my video card to the 970 so this post might be moot. Saw a lot of peeps with the Asus mobo I ordered with their builds and had no issues. Looks like Asus is more up to date with their BIOS revisions too.

Thanks for all your input and help! Really appreciate it!

Keep in mind that sites like PC Part picker would not be able to fully confirm compatibility. Its a site data base that will pull info and they do not do any RnD for compatibility tests

Try disabling secure boot/fast boot and/or enabling csm inside the bios if the options are available.
