Hi,
Ever since I bought this GPU (evga gtx 680) it had it's problems with random crashing. It wasn't very severe, and I thought it was a problem with the games I played and not so much with the card itself.
But over the past few years the amount of crashes increased. And i'm currently up to the point that the card even crashes 1 a 2 min in game... This happens in almost every game. The crash itself is a very annoying one; the screen freezes followed up audio freezing aswell, no error and only the power buttons work. With most games my entire PC just stops responding, with some games only the game instance crashes and then, and only then, I see an error that my GPU driver crashed/GPU stopped responding etc etc.
Yesterday was the moment I realised my card might be dying/getting too old.. I was playing League of Legends all day without any problems, but in the evening I started crashing in game, all of a sudden my card refused to play League londer then 1 a 2 minutes.. (Even though I can completely understand why he refused to play League :P)
I'm always running with EVGA Precision and Task Manager on my other screens so I can monitor the temps, CPU/Mem usage , but nothing seemed wrong there. So after 5 crashes I turned off Anti-Aliasing, and it stopped. It stopped crashing... But it is not only with league and it is not always solved with turning off AA.
My system:
- Intel Core i5 3570k
- MSI Z77A-G43
- GTX 680 ( I believe the superclocked version )
- 8GB Corsair Ram 2 x 4 Dimms
- Windows 10 Pro
Does this sound familiar to anyone or does someone know a fix for this?
