Hi everyone,
I have an EVGA SR-X with 1 cpu Xeon E5-2687w :http://ark.intel.com/products/64582/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2687W-20M-Cache-3_10-GHz-8_00-GTs-Intel-QPI
I wanna add a new CPU this one : http://ark.intel.com/products/81709/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2670-v3-30M-Cache-2_30-GHz?q=xeon%20e5%202670%20v3
 
Is it possible ?

    First, I don't think you can mix different CPU on the same board. Second, that CPU (the one you want to add) is an LGA2011 v3. It uses a different socket and requires and LGA2011 v3 motherboard.
     
    Edit: Check this link for CPU compatibility with your motherboard. Note that I have an E5-2670 (v1 for LGA2011 socket) and it is not compatible with my EVGA x79 Dark board. I am not sure about your SR-X board.

    As I can see even if I wanna plug the http://ark.intel.com/products/81709/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2670-v3-30M-Cache-2_30-GHz?q=xeon%20e5%202670%20v3 alone, it's not possible...

    all  xeon V2 cpu work on SRX with last bios and  a single cpu  the V2 work  on  X79 I have classi and  dark and is working  with V2 cpu 10C  just need last bios
     
    V3 and V4 work on X99... tested with oem 14C

    Z690 classified start build

    X299 rampage Extreme
     
    E762 W3520@4.2  E679 2600k
    E760 X980 
    E761 I920

    and SR2's  and SRX's
