Hello, I am building a mini itx system using the Stinger and while it will live on ethernet most of its life wifi is also very important to me, I was wondering if I could add wifi using the m.2 slot and if there is anything I need to know about doing so. Thanks!

Yes - you can add an M.2 WIFI card (A or E key I believe) such as Intel's 7265 AC which I have been using for about a year without any issues. It performs surprisingly well but your mileage will vary based on your network. Which ever card you buy make sure to test it in depth as I had to return the first card I bought because it was either a counterfeit or defective (common occurrence with M.2 cards).

It should work fine - specs and form factor seem to be in line.

but i got a question in regards to this.

does the m.2 on the stinger z170 accept nvme drives as pci gen3 x4? or is it only good for wifi cards + mSATA ssds?
