The EVGA Power Link looks like the PERFECT Accessory for those of us who run HTPCs and need to save on headroom over the card for the lid :) I can't wait for this to come out. I've been wanting someone to install the power connectors on the side of the card for this reason, for AGES. But as long as this measures less than the space the power cables would normally take up instead, this is JUST as great :)

Can't wait for this to come out! I need the dual 6-pin one though... *fingers crossed*

I just finished building a horizontal case and I need this. Cable routing, especially with my oversized GTX 980ti Classified, is my biggest problem right now. Where and when can I get this?

I contacted the support team and there is no official date for the release yet but they confirmed that different types will be available.
Crossing my fingers for a power link for my 1080 founders edition.

    This was the support response:
We do plan to make the power link available for other cards in the future, but we do not have information on dates and availability just yet.

And here is the sales response:
We have plans to release a Power Link the Founder’s Edition cards, but it isn’t available yet. Right now we don’t have an ETA on when either version will be available, but keep an eye on our website for an official announcement.

Dang... I'm kind of hoping that I could get two for my gtx 980s reference edition (two 6-pin)...

That might be an unrealistic expectation :P

I will need one for Hybrid card with 8+8 pin.
With EVGA Power Link and motherboard with angled 24 pin people don't need to think about PSU cables at all.
All of them are behind motherboard, only peaces 3-4 cm long are visible and only if you look on that place.

Now if someone build computer with new EVGA PSU with White LED and ACX 3.0 with white LED and EVGA CPU Cooler PC will look great.
He will not need extra lights, LEDs from hardware will be enough. Special with R10THE board.

Seriously. Its going the same way the EVGA soundcard and Keyboard did. We hear about it, get excited, and then it entirely disappears....

Another thread had it noted that they got delayed to make them compatible with more models. This caused the date to get pushed back until August, hopefully it'll be early August and not get bumped again.

Actually you would be surprised, how tough it is to get the mold correct and tolerance it for the spec range of all the GPUs

Different plastics / regrind mix / molding profile ......

thought there was info that there is a new revision being made - launch pushed back

Too many differences between cards and connectors for a one size fits all. So multiple molds, cavities per mold
Seems to me the tooling would be very basic. 2 piece (Family Mold), probably top and bottom shell.
Take the in gpu box power connectors, stick em in some slots made in the molded part, snap or glue together.
    laser print a logo.

Materials.. Nylon,Polycarbonate, or ABS, most definitely regrind(as its not for the medical industry).
30 minutes set up on a mold machine, 30 minutes on a mold program.. Done.

20 cents worth of materials, 20 cents worth of labor(if that), and you have your $20 dollar each power adapter.

I just wish the connectors connected straight through the back(end) of card.

    You misunderstood me.

Even if we are talking 1 stock number of GPU --- the power sockets are molded and have tolerances ---- they are rigid soldered to the PCB - which has tolerances

So the assembled PCB with soldered sockets, has stacked tolerances --- the rigid Power Link like wise has stacked tolerances.

So unless they have some wiggle room in the Power Link design -- issues are bound to happen as you have two rigid ports to align on both parts

Sure hope the sockets in the Power Link can float - mounted in silicone or urethane and self align with out stressing the PCB and solder joints

Ah, there allready was a thread about it just named different. +1 for faster release of these thing (if it helps ^^) my corsair Air 240 realy needs one.... can't close my case atm :(

It can not be this hard to fabricate this for EVGA cards, if they want to make it fit for other cards this might be, but why :D

They should atleast make it possible to be auto-notify us about the different ones.

does anyone know the actual physical dimensions of it (apparently it was revised from what was shown in June - no LED now - so that the size is reduced) ?

it is being displayed at PAX: gamersnexus has a report on it.

It seems that buy judging from the pictures where the connector was presented that the first ones launched in the market will fit the 1080 classifieds.

Can evga confirm these will also fit the 1080 ftw? Because allthough i got me a classified, im going to have to send it back and get a 1080 ftw instead, since eks wont make any waterblocks for the classified, and the alphacollblocks are not that good.

+1 on the release of these, or hell even an update with any sort of progress, My W2 Case is incomplete without one. On a side note, Will the initial release work with the 1070 FTW?

UPDATE: Per Jacob @ PAX West these are supposed to start shipping out Late September, Early October 2016. https://youtu.be/OyM9L6wYzGA?t=72
