Wow. They have really burned through the queue in the past week or so. Do you remember which day you signed up for step up LandoT?

I don't think they are fulfilling by queue number.  I think they are fulfilling by availability of product.  I registered for step up on 5/29 and was offered the SC...then I received an email that I could immediately be at step 2 if I opted to go back to the original 6181 model.  I opted to go with the SC...so I am still in the queue, whereby many that got into the queue after me are getting their cards.  So hard to predict what is going on at this point.

It seems as if they are going through the queue in order and offering to "downgrade" people back to the ACX 3.0 from the SC. So if you chose to stay with the SC then people after you could be getting the ACX earlier.

I'd definitely take the ACX if it's offered to me. My understanding is that they're not binned, right? If a chip can't overclock to SC frequencies then it is dropped down to ACX, but not all ACX's are failed SC's right?

Wow guess I should have weighed my options more carefully.  Any guesses on when entering the queue for a 1080 ACX on 8/9 might end up?  Card by Christmas? :)

m8, I entered the 1070 queue at the end of May, beginning of June (don't remember the exact date), and I'm STILL waiting.  And this is for the bog-standard ACX version.

It would be nice if, considering the length of time the queue is lasting is beyond the "several weeks" described on the website (which has been changed to "many weeks"), if the requirement to leave the queue to change a shipping address would be removed.

You could try sending a support ticket to the CS people?  I'm not sure if that would help any but no one would blame you for trying.

I just received the email offer to go back to the 1080ACX from the SC (Queue number was 997 the last time we could see it). I declined the offer, I'll be waiting for the SC card. Hope the next person on the list enjoys the bump!

Has anyone skipped the 6181-kr offer, elected to wait for the 6183-kr and received the 6183-kr? If so how long was the wait from declining the 6181-kr?

What's their reasoning behind hiding the queue number? I was on a trip for the last two weeks where I did not have access to internet and was relieved to know that I didn't miss my email from EVGA, but I was a bit nervous heading out as I feared I might miss it.

Probably because the queue became freaking huge.

I received an email from Chris with an offer to switch back to the ACX model yesterday on 8/24. I accepted it. Received step 5 today on the 25th and mailed mine 2day on the same day. I selected 2 day air return shipping, so hopefully I will have my second 1080 by the end of next week for my SLI build. Started my step up on June 10th.

Got the email asking if i wanted to move to the Non-SC version, hoped on that train because truth be told ALL of these cards are OCing about the same so i'd rather not wait.

Happy Birthday to me.

P.S. was immediately put into Step 2 after replying to initial email.

Very true. I have a 1080 FE that run consistently at 2050-2080mhz with temps rarely going above 65c. At lower temps it will boost up to 2128 (highest Ive had it up to).
The ACX model should easily be able to hit these numbers. Just be sure to set up a custom fan curve, or in my case, a very aggressive fan curve lol.
