Anyone know how to turn up the mouse speed in the Bios. Mine isn't normally set slow, but in the dark bios, it takes 4 or 5 swipes across the pad, just to move to the multiplier option.

I will update tonight.

Did you get your mouse speed back to normal? I've seen this happen when the system overclock is not stable; Tweaked a of couple settings and then it's back to normal.

That is me in the picture, anyone else ever pet a live Lion?

Pretty sure they removed the disable option from the BIOS due to the fact that disabling the ports also caused the USB 3.0 ports to be disabled.

That's a good theroy as it caused lots of confusion,  especially early on until it became more common knowledge.  Even though, if this is accurate, I personally don't care for not having the option to disable it.

Heck, I forgot about this thread.  That was back in October, while I was waiting to get the x99 up and running.  Now, I have replaced the x79 CPU and moved on to x99 at the same time, lol.  To answer your question, I am not sure.. I started using keyboard and won't touch the mouse while changing settings lol.

The Bluetooth issue was fixed with bios rev 2.12.  Also, since that rev release, rev 2.13 has come out...

2.13 working ok for me. USB 3.0 all good, even with Marvell disabled. Also disabled bluetooth since I don't use it.

Anyone help out with updating to this new bios? I'm unable to get my X79 FTW to boot to either a USB stick or USB CD-ROM. I'm not truly motherboard friendly so any help would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

So I hope no one has any more problems with their Dark board, as per EVGA there will not be any more bios updates since the board was discontinued. Mine is not having any issues on 2.13 so I guess it's not a big deal, just a little sad when you know your board is becoming obsolete.

Don't think of it as obsolete, think of it as unable to be improved upon.

Yah X79 has gone into the sub forums of the previous greats.

Mine are still going strong. Still waiting for something worth wild to come from Intel.

I profusely apologize if this has been asked and answered before, but i just updated my ftw bios to 2.05 and I'm wonder what the setting is to disable cpu vdroop.  Disabled through to 25% all seem to continue to allow the cpu voltage to flip flop around.

What X79 Model do you have?
"the cpu voltage to flip flop around." This is normal for the most part.

the x79 ftw.  ok will try disabled again.  is it also normal for the memory voltage to be .05mv off from what you set, too?  thanks for replying.

Below is a firmware/driver update for the ASmedia USB 3.0 controller on EVGA X79 motherboards. This update improves USB 3.0 stability in some situations. The single update below will update the firmware and driver for the USB 3.0 controller.

If you have not here is the USB 3.0 Firmware for our MB.
