This is getting ridiculous, OC scanner keeps running at random times which is kicking me out of games and movies on media player. It also messes with my overclocks and I can't apply mine again unless I restart my whole computer.

How are you guys even running OC Scanner? There's no option in PXOC to select it. At least for me. Did you download it separately?

Mine opened randomly while I was away from the computer over the weekend. As far as I know I didn't do anything to start it, it was just running when I got back.

To manually run it, you have to hit click on the yellow > right above the word APPLY. After that click right two times on basic to get to manual and the run button will be enabled. What I don't get is that PXOC defaults to basic with the run option being disabled, but somehow it randomly opens and runs.

Also if you click on the cog wheel/settings button when you're in the OC scanner, you will be able to pick your resolution, AA etc

What I did to stop OC scanner from randomly starting up I used CCleaner>Tools>Startup>Scheduled Tasks and disable PrecisionX OC

I have also had the issue where OC scanner will open up by itself and start scanning. However what's really weird is that GPUZ and Precesion X OC will report that my core clock is over 8 ghz. So I'm not sure what's causing this but I'll try and get a screen shot.

Specs are:
Intel 5930k (stock)
16gbs of RAM
Asus Sabertooth X99
EVGA 750 G2
EVGA GTX 1080 FE ( stock)
Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

What Version of GPUZ are you running.
Please Post a snap shot of GPUZ.

I have GPUZ 0.8.9 which is the latest version. And I wish I would have taken a screen shot now... I knew 8GHZ was bug so I just exited the software and restarted it.

This OC Scanner running by itself is kinda scary... I hope its not causing any damage by adjusting voltages too high.

Ok another update. The OC scanner started again however before I could take a screen shot both my monitors starting artifacting and flashing pink and green. I had to force turn off the PC. And after restarting the PC I was prompted with a lovely warning from the ASUS bios saying my OC failed even though I do not have a Overclock on my CPU unless you account for my 2666Mhz XMP setting thats enabled. Anyhow I am going to uninstall the software for now and hope that next release fixes most of the issues. I only need this software because the Founder Edition cards throttle so bad with their default fan profile.

Please Do not Post about Other Software in this Thread ie. No Posting about MSI Afterburner or NVIDIA Inspector.

Posting that this software sucks or I have this issue to when are you going to get it fixed and other type comments are not helpful and is Trolling.

Recommending msi afterburner over precision x isn't trolling. Afterburner simply works better than precision x. Not telling people about msi afterburner is just forcing people to be stuck on buggy precision x versions.

I personally appreciated the recommendation from veteran posters on an EVGA forum because it lets me know that MSI afterburner is legit. I'll try it out at some point

Some of the same problems still exist even with the update, i.e OC scanner randomly running (only difference this time is that it sort of stops itself now, but the options for it still come up randomly). Core clocks do not sync between SLI 1080s and no matter what I do, only one card will have the core clock applied to it. Example first card will be running at 1850 while the second is at 2050

Just a heads up to everyone using precision x... I'm not sure if this issue happens to everyone but if you go into settings and check for updates the monitors will go black and never come back on unless you hard reset your PC... no idea why it does this but it happened twice to me..

Anyone having problems with the 1070 SC getting "stuck" at minimum voltage? Seems to be randomly occurring, and then stays until a reboot.

When I try to download the EVGA Precision XOC I get a error. Doesn't matter with mirror I use, it's always the same error.

Oké, this is my downloadlink: (it's doesn't accept the links on this post......)
From here I try to download the software, then I press on mirror 1 and got the following error ''Parameter is incorrect. File path is required!''

(link with the error) (it's doesn't accept the links on this post......)

But maybe in the future there must be a better solution for this? Because now I'm dependent on your website/link and I have no other alternatives (and it's kinda sucks when you just bought a 1070 and you can't download the software)
