Hi all.

Having an issue regarding my computer.
Computer runs mint while it is working. Without warning it will completely shut down and not attempt to turn itself on again.
Tried to switch power strip, surge protector and wall socket but suddenly when it's in idle it will shut down.

But today I noticed that the fan in the psu didn't spin. I change to ECO ON, then it started, changed back to ECO OFF, then it stopped again.
I have my suspicions that it is the power supply that makes the computer shut down. What do you think?
Should I do a RMA ?

Appreciate your time reading.

When the computer completely shuts off, does it seem to be load related, is the computer processing a game or is the system just idling on your desktop? If you have not done so already, we recommend that register the power supply to your EVGA account. To register, please go to EVGA.com > Support > Product Registration and input the serial number, it is on the unit itself and the box if you still have that.

It's just idling on dekstop doing nothing. I did register the PSU when I bought it. But what makes me confused is that the fan is going all the time when it's in ECO mode, and when switching to ECO OFF it's stops. Now it's been on in 3 hours and 44 minutes without and shutdown.

Welcome to the EVGA forums CupID! The eco mode feature seems to be working contrary to specs since Eco mode ON the fan will only spin at 50% load and with Eco Mode OFF the fan should be spinning all the time. I'm thinking the eco mode sticker must be reversed. Let us know if your system continues to shut down randomly so we can assist with an RMA.

ECO Mode is based on temperature not Load. So with ECO mode on the PSU has to reach 40C before the fans spin. With ECO off the fans always spin. Sounds like "what JoseR said" either the sticker is reversed or you have a bad ECO switch/PSU. If you leave the fan running does it still shut down?
