Step-up topic is on other place.
You only need to be patient and you will get Pascal for Maxwell.
This is only place in IT industry with such option but demand for graphic cards is huge and from people who pay.

Demand for the GTX 1080 is high. You will have to be patient and wait.

The NEW Titan X will NOT be available from EVGA nor any other NVIDIA partner. Titan X will ONLY be available through NVIDIA.

Your official estimate on your Step up que is NEVER. You will NEVER be stepped up. It was all just a joke so you would think you would get something when you really have nothing Buahahahahah!! By the way if you have nothing then how are you stepping up? I'm confused.

Making demands for your Step-Up? Entitled, aren't we? Everyone knows there have been limited stock for these cards, and you're not the only one trying to Step-Up. Why don't you wait patiently and act like a respectable human being, instead of whining and making demands?

There are no estimates on when your Step Up will be ready to ship. The demand for the 10 series has been very high but I can confirm that we are sending out Step Up cards regularly and replenishing stock as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately the only option is to wait for the notification when your Step Up is ready to ship. I apologize for the lack of information.

If you have a moment, please rate my service. We appreciate the feedback!

I DEMAND to know when my Step-Up will be ready too. You know, that thing for which I haven't yet paid...

Also, can anyone put me in touch with the Ford Motor Company as well? I bought a 2015 Ford Fusion and want to trade it in towards a 2017 model. I demand to know exactly when the 2017 Fusion will be available, because I'm able to trade-in the older car towards a newer car, and that makes me entitled to know. Now, I'm going to hold my breath until someone tells me.

You know if someone is doing you a favor, the respectable thing is to appreciate the favor and show the person or in this case, the company some respect. They didnt have to do this for you. You must understand that demand is through the roof. And of course in business, paying customers come first, then us upgrading customers that aren't really paying full retail price. If you want a pascal card that bad THEN GO BUY ONE and sell the maxwell at a discount and loose money. There you go problem solved. The invoice is in the mail for my services talking to you on this matter. Thank you, have a great day. P.S. weekend sessions are charged double normal rates. ;)

Hello,

I apologize for the delay you've experienced waiting on the EVGA step up. We are unable to provide an estimated time on your queue process however I can confirm that you are still actively in the step up queue for GTX 1080 SC.

You patience is much appreciated.

You can always step up with any other videocard manufacturer. Oh wait none of them offer step up, only EVGA does. Tough luck for you then. :P

What GPU do you currently have? Your current GPU will work just fine until the Step up email is received and you ship the old card back. You mentioned most parts, but no mention of a GPU.

For everyone else, please do not antagonize or make a situation worse. I'm assuming (I never advise to assume) that the "nothing" is information.

Also, EVGA doesn't worry so much about a complaint that they would move you to a different place in the Step up queue. You will maintain the same position you had before your thread was posted, and you will moved up just the same, as if this thread didn't exist.

There's a next step status on your product page in your profile. It should say something like 'verifying transaction' if you just paid for the shipping for your step-up. That's not instant and took about a day for me, when it was approved I received an email with instructions to send my card(s) in.

This EVGA community kind of sucks. The guy has waited over two months and all you do is pile on him with insults. People have purchased cards from EVGA based upon the idea that they would be able to upgrade. They weren't told that it would take months and it's perfectly reasonable for people to be concerned. As for him feeling entitled, he ought to feel that way, he bought the card because of an EVGA guarantee that he wouldn't be stuck with outdated technology. EVGA isn't doing him a favor, he's paid them and just wants what he's been promised. There would be less posts like his if there was any indication of how long a person has to wait but we're intentionally kept in the dark.

In the step up FAQ:

"Stepping through the Step-Up

[...]

[font="verdana; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.8"]4. Wait in queue until approval - this step can last from a few days to many weeks depending on demand"

"Why do I have to wait in queue?

We have a queue for our Step-Up process so you can keep your current EVGA product until we have your new product ready and waiting for you in our warehouse. Sometimes, very high demand will necessitate a longer than usual queue, but once you have made your request and you are in queue the 90 day limit no longer applies - you are considered in the Step-Up process."

It's made abundantly clear that there's a waiting period that can range quite widely, and a longer than usual wait with higher demand. The 1080 is in ridiculously high demand so it seems like a given this is going to be one of those times.

They already provided an upgrade to the SC due to queue length, and they're even offering to let people swap back as regular ACX stock comes up to help people out.

EVGA are doing exactly what the terms of the step up program said they'd do and then more on top, if people didn't read the FAQ or terms, or did read them but decided to apply their own crazy interpretations to it and were operating under the impression they'd be 100% guaranteed a card by now then that's entirely on them.

Last week or so a bunch of people got sent an email offering them step up to the base model right away, or to continue to wait for the SC upgrade.

Looks like they had more normal stock than expected so offered it to the next people in line for SC to try and get it moving along a little more.

There's no real option to 'opt out', it was being offered manually if your spot comes up and there's normal cards available. They may not do it again, it's not a normal part of the process so might have been just a one time offer.

Personally even if they did offer it to me I'm going to wait for the 1080 SC. My current card doesn't work any worse just because new cards exist and I've already waited 2 months, what's a few months more?

The number of posts with people asking how long it will take shows that it isn't clear that it will take months. "A few days to many weeks". Has anyone ever received a step-up in a few days? I doubt it. As for the 1080s being in high demand, didn't EVGA expect new video cards to be in high demand? Is this a surprise to them? Waiting for over two months before posting is a "crazy interpretation" of "a few days to many weeks"? The fact remains that people like you in this community crap on other customers.

A lot of this depends on NVIDIA and supplies of GPUs they give to their partners. Right now demand is extremely high so it will take a while before supplies catch up with demand.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

I'd argue that the number of posts with people asking how long it will be shows:

People didn't read the step up terms and FAQ
People are impatient
People have ridiculous notions of entitlement

You can tell people don't bother to read anything by sheer virtue of the fact people keep posting the same threads and asking the same questions about when they're going to get their cards. It's been asked and answered repeatedly: you'll get them when they're available, and they don't know when they'll be available.

At no point have EVGA stated their terns entitle you to a specific timeline for your stepup. Would it be nice if they could? Absolutely, but they don't have to and have never promised to, so getting salty about it is entirely up to the individual placing their own expectations above the service being offered.

Long story short: If you don't like it, don't step up, or buy from another vendor and take advantage of their generous step up program.......
