Hi, i'm planning on upgrading my gpu from a XFX Radeon HD4670 to a  EVGA NVIDIA GTX 750 TI 2GB SC on an ASROCK N68 VS3 UCC. I know that it is a PCIE 3.0 X16 vga card but I've been told that is backward compatible with the motherboard (PCIE X16 1.1 aparently).  Also, if it is backward compatible will the motherboard recognize the new card? Do I need to update the BIOS? Currently I have the BIOS 1.10 version installed, the latest one is the 1.20 version. Thanks in advance.

It should be fine but I would definetly suggest to upgrade the BIOS before installing

Thanks, going to try it first, and if it doesn't recognize it I will update the BIOS, although the card is much older than the last BIOS update.

Never tried it, too many people told me it wouldn't work. EVGA, ASROCK, MSI told me it souldn't work. Only NVIDIA said it would. Ended up buying new mobo and gtx 950
