am not quite sure if the last update's JMicron RAID Option ROM 1.07.28 did it, but i got a DVD Drive hooked up to one of the JMicron SATA ports (i have 760), using Windows 10 i noticed My computer is slowing, specially when right click on the drive, it spend like 10 or more seconds before it loads. Windows Login is also so slow, it will stuck at the welcome screen for more than a minute What i've done: - switch to the other JMicron sata port (total of two in the MB) : didn't work -Uninstall SATA Interface drivers from my computer (i got RAID on Intel): didn't work - changed the SATA Mode to IDE (was AHCI) : WORKED ! Any ideas ?

Henry is the man keeping x58 alive. Thanks for the work man. I'm on a LSI card now, but I appreciate keeping the firmware 5 by 5. Tschus.

Hi mate, there is an official 15.2 driver, not sure if there is a rom associated with it ? Am trying freah installation of windows 10 on a raid 0 ssd, i can create a partition but not continue installation, if i load the 15.2 latest driver it takes for ever in detection, not sure if this is a driver issue or a rom issue What do you think ? ===Update=== apparently it is the BIOS, i modded a ROM with Intel raid 13.5 Trim mod, everything is fine now, looks like the 14/15 doesn't really go well with the ICH10R chipset, i even tried a moded BIOS with 15.2 ROM, still making an issue.

Note even sure if there is any advantages for the 15.2 ? according to this post the recommended ROM for ICH10R is 11.2 : Recommended Intel RAID ROM versions:- Intel RST RAID ROM v11.2.0.1527 = best choice for Intel ICH7R/8R/9R/10R Chipset RAID systems (matching RAID driver: Intel RST v11.2.0.1006), best performant ROM for all RAID0 users
- Intel RST(e) RAID ROM v12.9.0.2006 = good choice for Intel 5- and 6-Series Chipset RAID systems (matching RAID driver: Intel RST(e) v12.9.4.1000)
- Intel RST(e) RAID ROM v13.1.0.2126 = good choice for Intel 7-Series Chipset RAID systems (matching RAID driver: Intel RST(e) v13.1.0.1058)
- Intel RST(e) RAID ROM v13.2.2.2224 = good choice for Intel 8- or 9-Series Chipset RAID systems (matching RAID drivers: Intel RST(e) v13.2.4.1000)
- Intel RST(e) RAID ROM v14.8.2.2397 = alternative option for Intel 8- and 9-Series Chipset RAID systems, good choice for Intel 100-Series Chipset RAID Systems (matching RAID drivers: Intel RST(e) v14.8.x.xxxx)
- Intel RST(e) RAID ROM v15.2.1.2771 = good choice for Intel 100-Series Chipset RAID Systems (matching RAID drivers: Intel RST(e) v15.0.x.xxxx)
Note: I do not offer here any "Universally TRIM modified" variant of the Intel RAID ROM modules v14.x.x.xxxx/v15.x.x.xxxx, because older Intel Chipset RAID systems (up to 7-Series) are not fully supported by the Intel RST(e) drivers of the v14/v15 line.

Can you share more about the Intel version information for the microcode?

I updated 106A5 to 1B (tested) and a number of other ones including 106A4. Will haveto run it through MCE.exe and post its printout later.

To any of you guys still running your X58 for old time sake and want Nvme I found a way to get it going sort of. Actually a friend on Win-Raid suggested to use the VMWare NVME option rom driver. All you got to do is add it to your bios rom file by using CBRom bios.rom /pci. With this mod I was able to complete a full post of the system where I could not do so before with an Intel 750 SSD. Only thing is this particular drive does not show in bios so no chance of direct booting but I think if the nvme rom has legacy rom it will show up in bios and you'll be able to boot. Such as it was with my Plextor M8pey drive. That one showed up in bios but would never complete the posting cycle. Now I am sure it will! I know this is old. Can anyone tell me where to download the VMware nvme option rom he was talking about? That link just goes to the winraid site for me. I’m trying to get a plextor M8pey to boot without using clover or duet.
