I recently bought DOOM from the steam summer sale and started playing it.  1440p, medium settings and checked every box on the advanced screen with TSSAA(8TX), plays pretty smooth.  Averaging around 40fps from what i can tell so far with a few dips during some of the heavy battle scenes.  I picked these cards up from Afterburner over 4 years ago, thought about upgrading to a 1070 but couldn't find them anywhere.  After seeing these results, I'm pretty happy with the 570's still and will keep them until they blow up.  Also, I'm surprised the 500 series isn't on the minimum system requirements for this game.

They are not on the 'min system requirements' because you're using two of them to get an average of console frame rates.

Even with SLI disabled it runs it in 1440p @ 30fps(Pretty crummy and not really playable during anything other than running around).  I might drop it to 1080 to see how well it works.  I'm just amazed that these cards are still working, they easily hit 85*C when gaming.

Honestly... 2x GTX 570 is not a bad setup even today... Being the HD with the extended VRAM, I'd suspect it's similar in performance to a GTX 780 or a GTX 970...

Is a 1070 worth it? Absolutely. But only you can make the true call. If you are happy with the 570's keep em. In SLI they still have some good potential in my opinion.
