I am going to get a FTW 1080 when they come out.  That will be a killer card.

it shouldn't be too long now, Scott.

SINGLE CARD! Whoa!

OK, what is his last 24 hours and 24 hour average. Precompletion PPD is misleading and fluctuates way too much for my liking.

I do believe he's folding on many GPUs.  I just check his thread on overclockers.com for updates to see the actual numbers a 1080 early adopter can expect.

a fella, Nihilus projected 1mill. ppd for the GTX 1080 n 1.5mill. ppd for the GTX 1080Ti.

looks like this fella, Torin, is a pretty heavy hitter w/ many GPUs in place.

here's his thread again, if anyone is interested.  i am.

Torin3 posted this in his 1080 Founders ppd thread:

"So, with 2 of these cards, we're looking at about 1.5M PPD.

Now if I can just sell off my other stuff, I can get a non-FE card to go with this one.

Edit: Ok, I'm looking at 1.9M PPD on my home systems running 5 cards (1 @ 1080, 3 @ 970, 1 @ Titan), and my works systems run about 600K ppd.  2.5M

And I'm going to pull the Titan and replace it with 3 @ 280x cards that should add about 150 to 200K ppd to my total.  If I get another 1080, I can drop it in my main computer and get about 3.4M PPD.  Muhahaha!  Not HayesK or Macaholic numbers, but pretty darn decent.

Now if we could just get about 15 of the top 20 users to all get a 1080 (or 1070), we'll be pushing for the number 2 spot in only a couple of years."

Torin3 is editing his first post in his thread to reflect his 1080's WUs as they unfold:

"Torin3's GTX 1080 Folding thread
I'm going to be pulling the trigger on a GTX 1080 card on the 27th (assuming something like 'adaptive pricing' doesn't push it up over $750/$800 or so).
Since Team 32 is looking for PPD numbers I'll post what I get as I get them.
I've seen pre-release guesses run from about 600K to close to 1M.  Hopefully we'll narrow it down.
Edit, here are the numbers:

he wrote this in his thread:

"Yesterday was up from my usual 1.8M to 2.1M range up to 2.4M.

Also, the last 24 hours is 2.6M.

And as soon as the WU finishes on another machine, I'm pulling the Titan on it making about 300K and replacing it with 3 AMD cards that should be able to do 450K to 500K.

I don't think I'm going to hit 3M among 11 cards, but I'll be within shouting distance."
