Next Testing Two AMD R9 290X Graphics Cards.
Why because I can and they have always beaten out the GTX 780 Cards when it come to Folding.

Test will start on 04.01.16 to set status to Zero.

  * Sub Total (Day 01 & 02 are really a half day)
Day 01)  208,363
Day 02)  262,066
Day 03)  565,718  One WU Failed 8 Hours lost.
Day 04)  638,796
Day 05)  516,430  One WU Failed 8 Hours lost.
Day 06)  756,232
Day 07)  469,635  One WU Failed 8 Hours lost.
Day 08)  701,187  One WU Failed 8 Hours lost.
Day 09)  543,698  *4,662,125
So for my AMD Graphics Cards even with all the Failed WU it takes 8 Day on a Low Side and 9 Days on the High Side.

Testing back up and running, had some OS Patching issues and now I am back Folding.

Maybe for the AMD GPUs 16.3.2 is not the best driver for Folding.
I will wait for the current tasks to complete and then update to the Hotfix Version 16.4.1.

When you remove the 16.3.2 Driver and Software is does not remove the Vulkan Drivers.
You have to do this separately under "Programs and Features" Vulkan

Dope Doh! the Driver made no Difference.

I had a bad 980ti work unit before I left home. I am down for the week, since I am out of state. I am not going to keep running my system full bore while I am not around to make sure everything is working properly.

Stanford is getting more proactive with their warning messages. Whenever I get one of those pesky "Bad state detected attempting to resume from a known good point" warnings I also get a comment asking "Is your system overclocked"?

No, I have never overclocked any GPU or CPU..
All stock settings and fans controlled with higher speeds than normal.... MSI Afterburner controlled with my own curve for more cooling.

Mine wasn't overclocked at the time either. I just noticed the additional question added to the bad state warning. The insinuation that it is never ever Stanford's fault is annoying at best. My video board was running at 70C and I had to limit my temps using MSI Afterburner. I did finish the WU I think but it was drawing 108% Power Limit and the board was running hot because my Maelstrom V2 was getting ready to burst into flames. It did shortly afterwards too.

Not sure what Projects you are failing on?
Look for this in your Log Files.

My folding username is hertz9753.

There is a problem on one end or the other for EVGA's stat collection. They will get it straightened out.

I would have to Fold for 5 years to upgrade to a video board that meets my standards. The 1.5 million 10 EVGA buck reward helped offset my electric bill. Now you're asking me to go into the hole while my wallet and savings gets siphoned by my power company. The only thing I've upgraded was my wardrobe with EVGA T-shirts. I got a better way to get my equipment upgraded, shut it off and save the electricity that running a video board to Fold burns up.

You do realize that if you upgraded your hardware (video card) you would easily meet the 3M every month. That's $120 per year towards an upgrade. I used my bucks the last 2 years for personal upgrades and got over $100 off the price of brand new 770 SSC and 970 SSC cards. The 770 can't pull it's weight anymore for folding. So I set it up on BOINC and it does great. I use the 970 to fold. It blasts out about 250k per day from my gaming machine. If I am not gaming, I am folding. And I don't see a huge difference in my electric usage between days I fold and days I don't. I haven't even upgraded my cpu in my gaming rig since 2011. I am still running a gen 1 Core i7 CPU at 3.2ghz stock.. So I don't see the problem. I don't fold for the bucks, but it's a nice way to get a great discount on enthusiast level video cards or even a new PSU or mobo... Take your pick... But by and far the GPU is the most noticeable upgrade you can make if you built a solid gaming rig within the past 5-7 years...

Again.. Don't do it for the bucks. Do it for humanity. The bucks just show that EVGA is trying to do their part for the greater good. They don't have to, but they choose too. Or you could just fold on your own and get nothing except the satisfaction of helping further research on a number of debilitating diseases. Your choice.

EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra (Stock Speeds)
Asrock Extreme4 X570

Some of us have stopped not because of the Bucks but because of the treatment from Stanford (Their Support Forum).
For me the Buck were never why I started to Fold, I did not even know about the Bucks until two or three months after I started.
I started to Fold based on our Folding Team and the Team Support and User Support for Folding.
Even if the Bucks stopped or even went to higher point base it never would have changed mind about Why I Folded.

I will continue to Fold, at the very least enough to earn the Bucks.  Heat is the major factor for me.  I was never under any illusion as to how my results would be utilized.  Thats just how academia works these days, departments are funded by grant dollars and partnerships with drug companies.  Even to the point of Universities investing in their graduates startup drug companies.  But allowing these students and professors with validation of their theories and resultant therapies is worth it.
I'll just put more effort into compute oriented projects once I've made my bucks goal.  I use my bucks to up my performance level.  I ran a 560Ti up until the 760 series, then I leveraged EVGAs generous bucks to up it to a 970 series card.  Now, I'll use my bucks to upgrade to a 1070.  It's all for a good cause and as a side benefit I get better gaming performance in the interim.

I'm sorry to loose some good folders due to Stanfords poor communication.  But I hope those folders contribute to some of good GPU crunching projects out there.  The EVGA crunching community is great too.

Is it too late to request bucks for 3 million in June? The button isn't available to me.

Edit:
Never mind, I see EVGA is 500K different than my actual numbers.

Decided to say screw it and went for the 980ti compared to current 970. Between the rebates and discos and not ripping off on shipping promo going on, will let me be set for a bit

Decided to say screw it and went for the 980ti compared to current 970. Between the rebates and discos and not ripping off on shipping promo going on, will let me be set for a bit

Smart move - I am running 2 x 970FTWs and in another case a 980 SC and a 980ti CLASSIFIED - and the ti is AWESOME!

You will down the road but to put things in perspective, I am still running a pair of 780 tis in addition to my 2 970 FTWs and my 980 SC and 980ti Classified, so when you add these up, cost me very little on the frontside and have vaulted me to #3 on the evga crunching team in a short time. (no small feat)

If I had the money I would buy 6 1080s and save quite a bit on power for more ppd on any project, including gaming.

But 1. I do not have that kind of money and;
2. The cards I have cost a fraction of all new cards and are going to work well for several years to boot. Each of my 3 pcs are running High performance I7s

so you plan on liquid cooling all 6 and putting then on a single mobo similar to what linus did on 7 gamers, 1 cpu a while back?

The points arent updated 24hrs any more like tracking page says. Page updates every 24 hours. Now onto mult months that end up getting points showing up at start of new mo because it takes forever longer then 24 hrs. It was never for the few bucks but it was for the few bucks to make the usage worth it so adios friends.
