Bought a GTX 560 card a while back.
It became faulty and EVGA replaced it (under warranty) with a GTX 560Ti.
It worked OK in my old W7 rig.
But now I'm trying to install it into a newly built W7 machine and when I run the driver disc (which is probably the one that came with the original GTX 560), the installer says it 'can't find any compatible hardware'.
Which is odd, because the card is powering the display, otherwise I wouldn't see the screen. It is, however, only being seen as a 'standard VGA adapter' at 800 x 600.
Anyone have a clue about this? I assume there will be driver for the card somewhere but I can't find it.
Thanks for reading.

    Download newer drivers here:
    http://www.geforce.com/drivers

It sounds like you might have received a defective replacement or the original problem wasn't the card. What was the original problem which caused you to request a replacement?

    Thanks for responding, ty_ger07.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the Ti. It's been running perfectly for 18 months in its previous Windows environment. In fact, it still is. This new rig I'm building has a split-personality. I've installed W7 onto a new SSD drive, and that's the one that doesn't see the card as anything other than a standard VGA adapter.

But if I switch the hard drive cables back to the regular hard drive (which still has the old W7 install), the card is working fine there.

Re the problem with the original card, I seem to recall that it started to intermittently show corrupted graphics.

Regarding drivers from geforce.com, that's another issue. Like, which driver should I download? It wouldn't be the first time an updated NVidia driver has caused problems for me. I have no idea which driver was likely to be have been issued for the GTX560Ti.

Choose manual driver search, select 500 series (not 500M), choose Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit (whichever you are using), choose Recommended/Certified instead or All, hit search.

It sounds like your new OS install is missing necessary motherboard/chipset drivers. A newer graphics driver wouldn't solve that.

Thanks again, ty-ger07.  You might be right about the chipset drivers. I had actually installed them from the motherboard driver disc, but when I went just now to Windows Updates, there was an NVidia Driver package on offer that specifically mentioned'GTX560Ti', so I selected it along with the rest of the Updates. The system has just rebooted and it's 'digesting' the new stuff. I'll wait 'til it finishes and report back.

Okay, that did it. There's now an NVidia Control panel and it shows 'Version 358.91 - GeForce GTX 560 Ti'.

    Thanks for your help.
