Hello, I have an evga torq x5 mouse and quite frequently the wheel will lock into place and can't roll in either direction. I was wondering if I am able to take the mouse apart without voiding the warranty as in some games this issue makes the mouse unusable.
I've had the mouse for about 6 months if that helps and I won it in a give-away on evga-gaming.

Does anyone else have this issue? Can an evga representative get back to me as I don't really want to pay what the mouse is worth just to get it fixed.

As far as I know you can take it apart as long as you don't break anything inside, but don't take my word for it :P

Are you sure that it's stuck and it's not the rubber band losing grip with the plastic wheel under it? That happens to me sometimes, but I've gotten used to using the wheel with a heavier force than usual.

@KSE, sorry for the late reply. But yes I'm sure it's stuck. Something is physically getting lodged in the mouse wheel housing somewhere and forces it place. Normally takes me a good 10 seconds to dislodge whatever is in there. And it normally happens every half hour. It's getting really frustrating. I'd still like to know from evga if taking the mouse apart myself would void warranty.

I'm from Canada. It's going to cost more than the mouse is worth to RMA it.
