Ubisoft has announced Watch Dogs 2 is currently in development and it is expected the game will come out between April 2016 and March 2017. Link

Did the first one actually do that well? Granted I didn't finish the story line, but I recall the game needing mods (The Worse mod to be exact) to even look and play remotely well because you certainly couldn't count on Ubi to release anything that helped. Unfortunately I think this is one of those few that will have to hit the bargain bin before I decide to pick it up.

The original Watch Dogs did really well. Sold more than 4 million copies in the first week, and got positive reviews.

Wow, surprising considering on release there were massive threads (oc.net in particular) dedicated to making this thing look similar to their E3 trailers and also playable in the slightest.
Just looked over on Steam store page btw and user reviews/metacritic aren't looking too hot. Ubi hype I guess....

I wonder how many of those "sold" were actually the games given away for buying GPUs. That is the only reason why I own the game.

They were giving that game away with hard drives. I own it. It didn't really live up to all the hype that Ubi was pushing. Got bored with it and never finished it.

Exactly, I would have never bought this game; and still haven't finished it. They were having to give away the PC version of the game. I'm sure the game did good on the consoles since that was what Watchdogs was made for (and where people have lower standards).

this is my fear.......  Going against the trends here but I liked Watch Dogs , kind of like a technological version of grand Theft Auto ( less guns, more electronics ) It wasn't super,duper awesome but it was fun driving around the city causing mayhem, making steam pipes explode the city streets and causing all kinds of trouble in general.

I will wait and see, with as many horror stories I read about the first one online. Glad I never gave them my money for it. Even now I just refuse to buy it.

I thought it ran horrible on PC. Not so sure I can handle 2 rounds of that.

This is the problem with game publishers, they continue crap franchise games with the idea of they'll make consumers like them instead of consumers actually liking them. I'm so tired of franchise games too.

I had high hopes for that game judging by the trialer
It wasn't a bad game just slow paced and the whole hacking by phone was just meh. Honestly that was a huge missed opportunity
