Hey guys. Still running this E770 with an i7 970. I've noticed whenever I overclock it kills my USB 3.0 ports. My Asus WiFi adapter still works though but any 3.0 external drives need to be moved to 2.0 ports. As soon as I roll back my OC to default clocks the 3.0 ports come back to life.

Anyone know what voltage parameter in BIOS controls the voltage to where the 3.0 resides on the board? I'm thinking I could back off on the volts or add more to get the controller to come back.

Anyone else have this issue?

OC is 2 hours stable in Intel XTU by the way. No stability issues while gaming or anything else. Rig is rock solid, just no USB 3.0.

I don't have your board, but people usually adjust PCH, and try not to overvoltage LLC & PLL(no auto-hard set) to stabilize onboard usb 3 ports.

Thanks! I'll play around with those voltages and see what happens.

No luck on voltage adjustments. I went back to stock clocks and voltage and 3.0 seems to be dead for good. Oh well, I need an excuse to upgrade from X58 anyway. Just a shame that's how this board has been out of the box. Can't use SATA 3 either because the Marvell controller is such a dumpster fire.
