even as an intel person (won't use AMD..) ...I REALLY want AMD to smack one out of the park and put the pressure back on intel...

This was a good read, had some good details about it ( 9 months old but still good).

This article does bring some inspiration and a little anticipation into me to consider buying a future AMD processor.

Yeah.... I'm definitely going to keep this processor in mind. Currently the processors that AMD has available has made me wonder if they're really worth it, only because the reviews people have smothered about the processors have made me question them. But I don't know if those are just people hating AMD and just trolling people to go with Intel....
I'm a complete sucker when it comes to reviews and people telling others to dodge it and go with "this" side or vise versa.

My showstopper systems have always been Intel.
However I have used AMD and use AMD in other builds. For a gaming PC a AMD processor will not throttle your gaming performance.
I think with the upcoming DX12 games that overkill CPUs will be just for show.
