I wasn't really sure where to post this, I apologize if this is not the correct place.

I recently had to RMA a GTX 660 (02G-P4-2660-KR). I got an email today saying that a replacement has been shipped, and according to the EVGA website the replacement is a GTX 960 SSC (02G-P4-2966-KR). That seems to me to be an upgrade, and a pretty decent one too. So thanks EVGA for that.

My question though: My GTX 660 required a 6 pin power connector, and the GTX 960 SSC seems to require an 8 pin connector. My PSU only has one 6 pin connector. Would it be OKAY to use my old 2x 4 pin molex to 6 pin adapter and then run that along with my 6 pin connector to the 2X 6 pin to 8 pin adapter to power the card, even if only temporarily until I can afford a new PSU?

My current PSU:
Antec VP450

I literally had the same issue at home lol

Should work in the short run, though, but I wouldn't run it too long as I don't have the greatest confidence in adapter chains.

Well I guess I should have waited to ask my question. I just got the replacement card, and not only does it not even have the 6 pin to 8 pin adapter, the card itself has been beat to hell. Thanks evga, for bothering to READ my RMA info and replace my card with one that would work for me, and an extra thanks for sending me somebody else's garbage.
