I'm not sure why those people on that website are knocking Acer. They make great monitors. Surely those guys have never owned an Acer or know anything about it. I have one myself, They're good. Actually I was thinking about going with 21:9 this time around at that Ratio, rather than going stereoscopic, and it's Gsync... Would be a nice monitor.

Neat, but 2560x1080p is a total deal killer for me.

    ^^ yeah, especially 35" of 1080p lol. I don't even like 1080p ultra-wides at 27". At 35", I'd probably want 4k honestly. 32" I believe 1440p ultrawide is acceptable.

I think my next monitor might be something like the upcoming LG LM375UW1, 37.5" size, 3840 x 1600 resolution. If not, possibly one of the 35" 3440x1440 ultrawides. Honestly after having 2736x1824 on a 12" display like my Surface, it makes my current 21.5" 1080p look like absolute trash lol.

Smokes them all in what regard? (Genuinely curious, never had an Acer monitor).

They are marketing this thing to more people then if they were to make it 1440.

The Acer monitor is gorgeous.  It has an IPS screen...and not one dead pixel!  The quality of the thing is just solid as a rock.  The Viewsonic is losing backlight after three years.  I have to keep cranking up brightness to keep it consistent.  Unfortunately, not much adjustment left in it.   Here is Linus review of the monitor I have.
