I got 560 as a gift from my parents and it ran fine for a good while but it is now producing green lines in the screen. It has never been overclocked from my knowledge, he says he hasnt overclocked it, and I dont overclock my cards. Any suggestions on what I can do to remedy this issue since I probably can't rma it?

Green lines in the bios = faulty video card. Where exactly are you seeing the lines... desktop, bios, in-game?

when are you seeing the green lines ? Are you sure it's the video card and not the monitor?

If the lines are vertical there is a possibility it could be the monitor. Might try a different monitor if you have a spare.

I havent had the time to deal with it of late but I doubt it is the monitor. Im pretty sure the lines are horizontal but I will have to double check and make sure.

99% of the time it's the video card, time to upgrade. That GTX 560 is pretty old now anyway, the 660, 760 and 960 have all replaced it, your using 2010 tech

Yeah i know, it was a hand me down tryna get it working. Once I get a chance im going to give it a better look to see if there is anything on the pcb board that needs replacing possibly and replace them.

Ok so I got to spend some time with the 560, and I reapplied thermal paste to it using Arctic Silver 5 paste. It seems to only produce the green lines during windows load up and with in windows. RIght now I am using Windows 10 64 bit... I do how ever see some red dots in the center of my screen in the bios in a line.. Not sdure if they are normallyt there are not but its the only different thing ive noticed. Any suiggestions on possible fixes? I know its  prolly trash but I want to try at least.

You could always try baking the video card.

Nothing to lose, I've resurrected a few that way.

I was debating doing that, going to research it today and see what the steps are in baking a card. Thanks for the link! ;)
