Well, good to see the hotfix, I just can't believe they had to do this to stop people from actually clicking the eject button, lol.

I guess I don't have OCD so strong that I feel the urge to eject my GPU while using the computer.

Thanks for posting the update and link.

Funny, I just updated off of the Nvidia.com site.

Searched manually under my GPU & OS and this hot fix did not even show up as an option at 12:55 PM Eastern Time

Now if they come up with a button to make my GPU = pascal light, I'd push it.

Thanks for the heads up DeathAngel74

I have a windows question, is 10586.0.151029-1700 the most stable so far for gaming? I can get RTM, TH2(latest public build) or RS(insider build). I have no idea how stable either of them are though.

Wouldn't say it's unbelievable. When you're used to having multiple removable USB devices in the eject field and you accidently hit the one that says GPU its not fun, panic inducing actually. I was speaking with Nvidia directly and was informed that all this does is restart the driver so to speak, it does not damage the hardware. This is something that should not have slipped past QA.

Nothing to do with OCD. It should never have been there as an option in first place.

I understand it should have never made it through the testing, but if you have multiple removable devices normally, don't you read them before ejecting them, lol.

yes, but its not impossible to click by accident, especially when it shouldn't be in there in the first place. That's a pretty big error if indeed damaged cards start popping up because of it.

I don't think they will pop up damaged. People go in the device manager and turn their cards off so they can flash the bios. Same concept, different implementation.

It's not really the same concept.  When you turn off your card in the device manager, it's off.  This eject thing (when used) momentarily resets either the driver or the card, but the card isn't off.  I think it even disables SLI if I remember correctly.  I tried it once when I saw it for the first time...

Have you noticed any difference in performance or damage to the card from clicking the option to "eject". I accidently hit this not realizing when trying to remove a USB storage device. I am concerned that I may have damaged my GPU  :(

I tried it the same day the driver was released.  No issue's after ejecting one of my GPU's.

I am happy u hot fixed that issue however,  how about this continuing issue:
'"Video_TDR_Failure" and "Windows Kernal Mode Drivers"  and crash to desktop or lockup.

I have two EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0,   Asrock Z87 Extreme4 mb,  Thermaltake Toughtpower Grand 1050,  16 gigs of memory,  SoundBlaster Z,  I do not overclock.   Cards are attempting to run  in SLI.   the system either locks up or receive a warning regarding the kernel.... and that is when on net.   In game....... BF4 ....... locks up and freezes .........

I have installed and removed 361.75,  361.43,  and earlier drivers.   Each by removing or uninstalling via Cont Panel,   then DDU and installing next drivers in Safemode.    all without success.   I have also disable fastboot and set up the PCIe clots 2 and 5 as auto and Gen 2.  Are these cards Gen 2?

This is ridiculous.    I need timely assistance.

Anyone else get a black screen while watching a full screen video ? It has done it to me with this driver and the previous one . Was watching a YouTube video when partially thru the video all three of my monitors went black , but the audio kept playing just fine .  No error codes in the event viewer . My 4k monitor did the same thing on the previous driver . I had to unplug And then plug back in the HDMI cable to get the picture back . It's as if the monitor was going into sleep mode .

WHAT THE WIFE DON'T KNOW WON'T HURT YOU!
