Hello,
after I upgraded my W8.1 to W10, i have random crashes/ black screens, sometimes the video driver recovers sometimes it doesn't and reboots or freezes like that, i can still hear the sound in the speakers for 10-20 secs after that i hear a sound that sounds like 1 millisecond from a sound on a loop... black screen or monitor goes to stand by ....
I used the search feature didn't found any solution.
no hardware issues everything worked find in windows 8.1.
i tried everything i found on the web ( TrDelay and etc) nothing worked.
I will try again with a clean install and come back later .|

Clean install done - same problems.... I think the only fix is to revert to windows 8.1...

353.62 - works, but i wanted to use latest drivers or so...
Should i keep trying to install a newer driver till i get the same issues? or should I stick with this version 353.62 ?

I had the latest drivers installed for my GTX-680 and those are the drivers that Windows 10 installed when I upgraded too. It's only my backup PC so I don't use it for much and haven't done any gaming on it yet. It baffles me that Windows 10 would install an outdated driver. Since I am Folding at Home today on my main PC I will try to play a game or two if my back pain allows for it since I have to sit on the floor to use it and will let you know if I have any problems.

    Hello,

Try running DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to clear out any old drivers then try to reinstall the newest drivers for your GPU to see if that fixes your issue.

Ty andrew already did that, and installed latest drivers from evga and i also underclocked cpu and ram by 105 hz  and i get black screen after 10-15 mins,
but with 353.62 it is very stable even in games, dunno what the problem is, i know it is a weird behavior, in event viewer i had 1 critical error each time the computer had the black screen :"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."  and on video card driver this was writen in the event viewer "The description for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

    \Device\Video1
    CMDre 00000002 00000080 00000000 00000005 0000000b
    "
searched on forums and ppl were replying that there might be a power problem well it is not, what i did change on my system was only the OS from 8.1 to windows 10, anyway when i will have some spare time (i am in exam sesion right now) i will try to test with some other drivers to check after what distribution the driver becomes unstable . But if anyone else is reading this and has problems with  black screens after upgrading to windows 10 just use the  DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and after that install 353.62 nvidia driver after u block windows 10 from auto installing drivers.

I just sat down for a little bit and spent some time watching YouTube videos and browsing the web. I had no issues like you are describing. I upgraded from Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. This was not a fresh install. I am still using the older driver installed by Windows 10. I will try installing the latest driver some time today but it won't be until later. Maintenance will have my electricity off for a few hours repairing my oven. I had used it after upgrading for web browsing and changing some settings but had nothing like you're describing. I will update my drivers and see what happens and post back to let you know what happens. I have two ruptured discs in my back so it takes me some time to get loosened up enough to sit on the floor. I am working on getting a nice little desk to sit at but it's not here yet. Sorry I can't be of more help right now.

I just got a Cumulative update for Windows 10 that needed a reboot. I think it said 1151. Anyway I installed the 361.75 drivers from nVidia and have been online and playing YouTube vids for almost 20 minutes without any problems like you are describing. I do get some weird errors about unable to connect to update in time and some other AppModel-Runtime stuff that I know nothing about yet. Maybe they'll go away tomorrow since they are probably due to the update. So far Windows 10 is doing fairly well for this upgrade from Windows 7. I just get really OCD about any kind of errors in my Event Viewer. There's lots of needless bloatware built into 10 that can contribute to a variety of driver conflicts and crashes that I still need to do some adjusting and removing and disabling for my peace of mind.

Stay with 353.62 if the driver is truly working without issues until you can find another newer one that works.

I think you should get rid of that tweakbit stuff and just update your drivers from the manufacturer's website. I have heard nothing good about tweakbit.

Try driver 347.88 and see if it fixes your crashes.

I removed the 2x gtx 460 from the computer and tested with a gtx 970 same problem but after 6 hours of testing i found what was the problem, it seems the realtek HD sound card that is integrated on the motherboard is causing some issues with video drivers, i have EVGA nForce 790i Ultra SLI  motherboard, after i disabled the "HD Audio" option from bios the PC runs how it should.
