So I have no clue what is going on with my computer. I reset my cmos and bios. I also removed the battery and replaced it after 30mins or so. My computer would run through F3-F6-F3-68 and when it gets to 68 it will shut off and restart the loop. I have a x5660 Xeon cpu. And before someone says its the CPU, I have tried it with another one. A x5550 to be exact, with the same results. It also can't be my memory since all 12 gb are read on another motherboard I have. My CPU pins are not bent at all btw. I'm not sure what is going on here and would love some advice on how to fix my problem. I made a video on YouTube a couple of weeks ago but no help! My name is kingkizaru on YouTube. Please take a look since I don't know how to post links on here.

Hello, I am sorry to hear about your boot loop. Can you please try removing all but 1 memory stick (in slot 1) and see if the post loop continues? If it does, try removing that stick and replacing it with another.

Poor contact on cpu heat sink can cause this also. Try reapplying tim if its not a memory issue. Also make sure it is not tightened down too tight warping the board.

Well its strange really. I have a HD 5970 GPU and it was acting weird. It was artifacting image's and then one day bam BOOT LOOP. I'm not sure if a GPU could cause a boot loop or not so I never tried to add another card to test that theory. To also answer your question about can I get into bios. No I cant. My keyboard won't activate while in the loop. Also no image is displayed at all and my mobos onboard speaker beeps SOMETIMES but other times it would restart before the beep is heard.

If you can try another GPU and the issue stops then I would look into RMA to get a replacement if you are still under warranty.

RMA for what? The HD 5970 is an 5 year old card now. And AMD stopped support for those cards anyway.

How about investing in a new card then? ;)

Do you guys think that the GPU could even cause a boot loop? I will purchase another if that is the case. Actually I have a GTX 570 sitting around. Do you guys think the GPU caused my issue?

I've had the same problem. It has been the DRAM. Just remove all DRAM and let only one in the first Port. Shut off system and reset BIOS. Power on, should work. Then try adding one DRAM, boot again. This worked to me.
