Player count is largely irrelevant. It's community toxicity levels that count the most. If we went purely by player count DOTA 2 must be the most awesome thing ever (not that I've ever touched the game).




Player count isn't irrelevant when it comes to multiplayer games. It's basically the most important factor. Knobs are everywhere, but with higher player counts you're more likely to be able to find games without them or without the same knobs.

Because they do nothing to prevent it. Plus, people are done with the game, being banned means nothing in a game that you do not plan to play much in the future anyway.

Player count is relevant. when a game uses "Skilled Base Match Making", without a high player count SBMM won't be able to balance games based on skill anymore. New players will be dropped into games with max ranked players that have everything unlocked.

Origin has been falling behind with GameSpy and other problems, so a lot of players have not even loaded it up recently
 
lot of my old BF3 friends who also have BF4 have largely been MIA

I love Star Wars dont get me wrong, but when Battlefront is stripped down as much as it is comparing it to both Battlefield 4 and anything that came before to and the original battlefronts, the mechanics that mimic COD but fall short, no single player campaign"Star Wars Fans live for this", it is a receipt for failure... I said it during the beta, other titled when I worked for EA I voiced my opinion and got shot down. Well its unfortunate yet gives me a fuzzy good feeling with Darth Vaders voice in my head from episode six "you were right".

Not really, its about how much the company and share holders want to pocket, how many corners they can cut and how much money they can save. Production cost have stayed the same, if anything with as much outsourcing it has gone down...

Not really, its about how much the company and share holders want to pocket, how many corners they can cut and how much money they can save.


EA's cost cutting strategy really shows: BF4 was a fiasco; SWBF is all fluff but no substance.

Is battlefront worth getting for $39.99 ? Game stop has it for that price on PC right now .


$39.99 is the max I would pay for it, although in my opinion it ought to be a $30 game.

The visuals are gorgeous, the gameplay is fun, but as mentioned above, it is a shallow game.

Based on the three hours I've played on this game, if you are interested in the Season Pass, I would wait for that to also drop down significantly before buying.

Make no mistake about it, EA/DICE has succumbed to a new low and produced a game that is not worthy of it's Metacritic score of 70%.

I would not pay more than 20 for it honestly... especially since the season pass is what 50 bucks or so... Glad I got the game free the other day...

I play it from time to time. I still find it entertaining in small bursts.

I just took another look at the player base for SWB, Hardline and BF4. All i can say is Ouch for SWB and Hardline. I see no point buying EA BF4 + Hardline bundle if it only has around 500 players around 10pm PST.

My boy & I bought Battlefront ( for the nostalgia )  and I can only play it in limited amounts of time also because it is so frustratingly simplistic. 
 
 Too limited weapon selection , limited maps/ sizes,..slow progression to get nowhere anyways, weird credits type of store to "purchase' upgrades & items, etc... - basically a 'PAY to WIN' format 
 
- what a shame , thankfully I only paid @  $29  for each keycode.

On Battlefront on the PC it is... I cannot even play some of the high player number maps I want to because there are so few people now. I just uninstalled it yesterday glad it was free.

now that BF4 has the high tic rate servers and other fixes, it's a much better experience than ever
 
classic mode + 120hz servers ftw (too bad all my fav servers are in europe)!
