i have a EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB FTW ACX 2.0 Video Card and it runs everything ive tried on it perfectly: GTA5 (maxed settings-told to ignore gpu memory limit) / Battlefield 4 (maxed) / assettocorsa (maxed) and Fallout 4 (maxed). it also runs Warframe maxed but it is the only game to get any TDR crashes and they seem completely random. there are no framerate drops before the crash-just freezes (fps is around 130-144) and crashes almost instantly (just the drivers the game still runs)nowhere ive looked has a fix

i have a 2 monitor settup one 1920x1080 (landscape) as my primary using DVI-DL and the other @ 900x1440 (portrait) [this one is just for a clock and Precision X16
driver version= 361.75

    Welcome to the forums!

Try enabling Debug Mode, and then launch Warframe again to see if it crashes. If it's stable, use PrecisionX to clock the card to reference, then save the settings to a profile. Load this profile before launching Warframe, then go back to defaults for your other games.

Run OC Scanner while scanning for artifacts. If it artifacts, send the card back. I used to only get TDR's in Battlefield 3 with my old 580... Couldn't figure out what the problem was... Fired up OC Scanner and, sure enough, after a couple minutes the card was showing artifacts.

    +1
There are games that do not play well with OC GPU, even factory OC.

Going to standard GPU specification speed, is a great diagnostic tool.

Debug mode has yet to TDR in warframe so that's good. but keep in mind its random-some days i can play no problem others its impossible.
i will give OC Scanner a go anyways but i have never used it.
i don't use Precision X onscreen display. that's what my second monitor is for. :P

I would personally send the card back if it fails to perform at stock out of box clocks. IMO, the card should work in all games at stock out of box clocks without having to underclock it. Why buy/make a pre-overclocked graphic card if it's just going to make picky games crash all the time? Is the game just being picky about your factory overclock or does the card really have a problem? Hard to tell without doing an rma. If you're happy running the card in debug mode/underclocked then I guess this issue is resolved. Just something to think about.

I was getting issues only playing Borderlands 2 . Crashes , tdrs ,a lot of driver errors in he Event Viewer . It all went down to the drivers , of course I was running a PhysX card (that 760 was doing the deed) . The latest drivers (361.75 & 361.82) stopped it completely .
