Hey got the x99 classified mb with a 5960x intel i7 processor and when it's all connected it boots up with the codes C-04-19-60-FF-C and restarts.... I saw another post that talked about bent pins but that's not the case, I've already rma'd 2 mother boards and rma'd 1 processor. I've tried watercooling and standard fan heatsink, 3 different PCUS each of the 4 ram sticks and nothing. Local comp fix it shop says I may have to try for a 3rd CPU but that's pretty unlucky 2 have 2 bad ones in a row...

Welcome to the forums..See EVGA FAQ I am getting post code C and no POST on X99 motherboards..This is typically caused by poor connection or no connection from PSU to the Motherboards EPS (CPU 8 pin) connection. I would check into that as well as a possible PSU/cable issue..Maybe check the pinout voltage on the CPU 8-pin with a PSU tester, Digital Voltmeter, or have the PC shop do it.

Could be a bad PSU or its wiring if you've gone this far on RMAing.

Have you tested your build out of the case in bare bones? There is likely an issue with wiring or perhaps a faulty power supply.

when you had your build in a bare bones configuration did you have any fan headers plugged into the board? Also, did you only use 1 stick of memory?

Placing them on the bags won't do much as you'll want to be grounded via wristband. Just have them on a wooden tabled with you grounded is all and you aren't running around on carpet.

kalidon, did you at any time plug a fan header into the 3 pin I have boxed in red? (see attached image)

Kalidon, Did you ever get the issue resolved? I am currently experiencing an issue that presents the same set of debug codes. Evga support concluded that is was a bios version + ram compatibility issue, they are sending an updated bios rom to hopefully resolve the issue.

Welcome to the forum ModdingFox Thanks for sharing your BIOS issue. What version of BIOS did your MB come with? What RAM did you try to use?

I'm having this same problem, but with a i7-5930 processor. Is there some kind of protection feature built in that will shut the machine down if there is no fan connected to the powersupply fan header? In my case the pattern occurs even when it is just the bare board and cpu, nothing else, not even a stick of ram.

Welcome to the forum alanz I am not sure what you meant by ---- "no fan connected to the powersupply fan header" I would never try to start a MB without a CPU cooler fan / pump attached to the MB --- CPU ---- Fan header You need 1 stick RAM --- per manual

You need a cooler for the CPU or it will overheat and yes, it will shutdown if it hits its thermal limits.

The board does not require a fan to be plugged into the CPU fan to turn on. It's highly recommended to have something cooling the CPU, but it doesn't have to be plugged into the motherboard.

Cool GTX The same post codes?
Yes. C-04-19-60-FF-C followed by restart. I just put the computer together. I built one like it earlier, except that one used 4790 and this one is 5930k. So I am unable to swap memory/cpu to further narrow the problem down.

Cool GTX Did you read this? Bob listed this in post #2 Reseat the Power cables --- make sure they are fully installed
Yes. I reset the connections and also tried a different power supply that I use with my functioning computer. So I am very confident that it isn't a power supply or cable problem. I had two sticks of DDR4 ram and I took them both out and tried each in slot 1 and the problem persisted. I have put together enough computers that I have had problematic motherboards before, but usually there is something visibly wrong with them. I do not see anything visibly wrong with the motherboard in this case.

Pull the MB and place on non-conductive surface, like the box it came in Use the on-board power button to start the PC MB, 1 RAM, CPU & cooler, GPU & PSU ---- does it post? Does the code change?

I have also tried: - turning off PCI lanes using the dipswitch.
- Trying different CMOS. ie move the switch between 1-3.
- Resetting the cmos using the onboard buttons.
- Flipping the turbo switch.
I can't get any different behavior no matter what I have tried.

You have tried a spare PSU ? --- could be a bad cable or PSU That would make me wonder if the CPU socket has any bent pins Sometimes the CPU cooler is not installed by tightening the fasteners evenly in small increments Sometimes the CPU cooler is tight - pushing too hard on CPU and bending the pins underneath

AH! Don't barebone on a anti-static bag! Its lined on the outside with conductive material to take the static shock. Best bet is always cardboard or wooden surface.

On the other hand... I just got a hold of some 4GB DDR4 sticks from one of our servers. It can now boot up to the bios. The bios version is 1.13. I will try to update the bios and try the newer sticks of RAM again. But perhaps I just need to get different ram. (DDR4 is Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK32GX4M2B3200C16)

That is why I said to place it on a non-conductive surface, like the box in post #21
