Graduated tech school on wednesday, so at this point i'm certified ATC in the USAF! \o/ So much fun, even though its a very serious job, wouldn't ask for anything else. Spent my day thursday driving home to spend a few weeks with my family. So grateful to be able to see them, especially my niece and nephew, havent' seen them since i left for basic.  Don't be jealous of the 'stache either, i'm a manly man! On the other side of that though, won't be able to game much anymore. had to pull the plug on my desktop that i left here at home while i was gone anyways. RAM's all dead, GPU's been pretty much shot, so i'm just giving up at this point :( Stick to my xbox.

I did my time in the USAF during the NAM years, and your on a good career path. Enjoy your time. You will find time to get back into PC's.

You will have PLENTY of time to game on... your in the Air force remember.. what exactly is it you guys do?? ;)
I was one of 3 people in my entire battalion to own a personal computer in the barracks (circa 1990's) and even I had time to play Doom/Command & Conquer etc. over the "network."
The network being IPX/SPX/NetBUI on a coax connector running through the poked hole in the wall over the laundry room, down the balcony etc. while avoiding the 1SG's eyes. Sometimes he gave me credit for my ingenuity at hiding cables (as he cut them citing fire hazard, destruction of govt property etc) and other times I just got yelled at.

The Air Force is who keeps everybody safe. We are the eagle in the sky. Plus, we had pretty cool looking uniforms. ;)

Grats Moose! I have a lot of family and friends in the military, mainly Air Force in my family, Army from friends. Have some old family heirlooms form the "Army Air Corps" way back in the day. If Nateman gives you too much grief about the Puke Green boots (I have NEVER puked green before.... if I did I would be rather concerned) ask him how he keeps his MRE's upright, with "A Rock or Something?"  Sorry Nateman, I had to. Utmost of respect for ALL of our armed forces, due to physical limitations I was told by an army recruiter I couldn't be drafted, but all you guys will ALWAYS have whatever support you can get from me. And don't worry, ZERO jealousy of the 'stache either, my beard is WAY more epic! AND it's Orange! Bet you can't grow orange carpet off your face :) Take care, good luck, and stop in and post when you can!

ATC? Like the dude in the tower directing traffic? That's a tough job man. It's actually one of the more stressful jobs even in the civilian sector from what I hear. Good luck to man and congrats!
