Hello all,
I'm the proud owner of a GTX 660, which I am connecting three monitors to for the first time.
I have one connected to HDMI, one DVI-I->VGA(Via adapter block) and one to DVI-D (using a DVI-D single link cable).

The HDMI and DVI-I->VGA connected screens work fine, but the DVI-D connected screen is not displaying output.
  • All three monitors are recognised in screen resolution and nvidea software. (The really puzzling thing)
  • The monitor connected to this output is an LG W2261VP. This was previously connected to the DVI-I port, which worked ok.
  • I have connected the DVI-D screen to the DVI-I port, using a DVI-D cable, which shows an image. This should confirm that the cable, port and monitor are sound.
  • I have tried setting resolution for this output to the lowest possible value (800x600), in case the monitor was not able to deal with the signal, but to no effect.
My nvidea driver management software tells me that the drivers are up to date.
Do you know of any configuration that I may be missing, or another diagnostic step I might perform?
Many thanks
J

With the system off disconnect all the monitors except for the dvi-d one. Boot the system, do you get a signal now? If not, the dvi-d port most likely has a problem.

Hi Sajin, thanks for getting back to me. I tried starting the pc with just the dvi-d, and didn't get an input signal.

If you have any further thoughts, id gladly give them a try!

I've got a dvi-d to hdmi adapter on order, in order to check try with one of the other monitors. Fingers crossed...

Just an update on this issue - I received a DVI-D to HDMI converter in the post today. I connected my AOC monitor to it, via hdmi, it spring to life! I did the same to the LG, and it did not. I also tried the VGA to that monitor, didn't work.
The final solution was connecting the LG to DVI-I, the new converted DVI-D-> HDMI to the AOC, and HDMI to my third monitor. All is working now! So must be a fault with my LG monitor.

Thanks for your help though, Sajin, I hope it helps someone diagnose their issue in the future!

Might want to check the LG website to see if your monitor has a firmware update available that may help resolve the problem.
