It is not included as there is not much demand for them in most cases, however we do offer one here as well.

I use one on my X79 Dark because the case I have the front panel could not reach and this gave me enough extra length, also it is VERY low profile and I can bend it to wherever I want and it just works, no complaints.

Thanks for the link EVGATech_DaveB

I'm in the same boat.  Looking for an all black MB for my 5930K and new build.  I just can't get past some of those MB colors and therefore, I am limited in my MB choices - EVGA Classified, MSI SLI etc.  Post up a link if you find some good deals on MBs.

I love the Classified Colors from EVGA.

There are a few MBs that I believe are all black.  I think MSI has some.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

I don't know when Intel plan to launch Broadwell-E, because ASUS should present Rampage 5 Extreme Black Edition.
That will be most advanced E-ATX beast on market with DirectCU copper pipe in huge thick aluminum heatsink with most advanced sensors in few kg weight package.
Rampage 5 Extreme package was heavy 100% as two other motherboards or more, full of stuff and excellent software.

It's important motherboard to be dark, many motherboards in case look completely black...
Only not some motherboards as GIGABYTE or ASRock with full red or blue or colorful details look different.
All motherboards with little red or even yellow details in PC look completely black...
One of nicest dark motherboard now is MSI X99A XPOWER AC/USB 3.1...
On that motherboard you can freely to use black color paper or paint marker to change yellow in red, silver, black, grey, how do you want because only small details are yellow and easy to cover and than you get much better board than X99 SLI PLUS, etc...

I kind of like that MSI X99A color scheme as the yellow accents are not too over bearing.  I am going to check some reviews and see how it performs.  I was looking at the Asus Delux and like the BIOS and software for overclocking, but the reviews about boot issues, cpu killing issues have me a little scared about that MB.  I checked the reviews of the MSI X99 SLI Plus and their overclocking method is a bit odd and not like the other MBs, it seems they use proprietary software only vs. BIOS to overclock.  Perhaps I read that wrong, but that's what I got out of it.  I even saw a reviewer on Newegg mention something about not being able to OC via the BIOS.

So, Vlad011, the MSI X99 SLI is not that good of a board in your opinion.  Which MB do you have?

Thanks...Al

Re: Best X99 MB for 5960X CPU 2way SLI EVGA Titan X SC, EVGA Classified or Asus Rampage V 2015/11/27 03:36:37 (permalink)
I have Rampage 5 Extreme, but I really don't need such big and expensive boards.
Problem is because I couldn't find mATX with normal layout and all features...
Normal layout of mATX for me is this...+ up to 32Gb/s transfer M.2

As you see she have small slot not only x1 for Sound Card, it's capable to hold and some adapter with x4.
At least x1 is necessary and off course Ultra fast M.2 slot. Everything could fit on mATX even if companies need to use vertical M.2 or
this... This is much better and for cooling because they reach 95-96C... Than M.2 have directly cooling from front intake fans.

I didn't say MSI X99 SLI PLUS is not good board... She is not so good as X99A XPOWER AC.
It's really hard decision with X99, there are lot of models but no such good choice as Z170.

Thanks.  I think I found the MB I want - MSI X99A XPwr AC.  The reviews look good.  Now, I will watch to see if any deals pop up on it.

Re: Best X99 MB for 5960X CPU 2way SLI EVGA Titan X SC, EVGA Classified or Asus Rampage V 2015/11/27 08:40:18 (permalink)
Cool GTX
I am looking to buy a X99 MB - researching EVGA Classified & Asus Rampage V Extreme - I am open to other MBs

I've read about issues with both of these MB in my form research on several forms.

Asus RVE seems to be more mature "best OC MB"; but, reading about killed CPUs on restart - even if rare - makes me reconsider.

I've read about some stability issues with the Classified.

I am not sure I "NEED" either of these $$$$$ MB for my 2way SLI above freezing plans.

Looking to make an informed decision on this purchase.  So, any input form members are willing to share would be nice to see.

 What I have:
CPU is 5960X water cooled custom loop - will OC
GPU 2way SLI EVGA Titan X SC underwater -have been OCd in my Z97 MB
4K monitor with second monitor at lower res.
     PSU  EVGA 1600 P2

I do not plan on subzero or chilled, just my H2O loop.  (Maybe use  a heat exchanger if needed later - still above freezing)

My Uses:
CAD, games at times, benchmark runs - just to see what I can do.  Possibly video editing for my next adventure.

Also what to try Folding (on the EVGA team) - does MB matter much in folding performance?

I do not foresee a third Titan X at this time -  cost to performance issue for me.

Looking at: Asus Rampage V Extreme and EVGA Classified, also open to other boards that could support 3way SLI.

Planning on 32 GB or 64 GB of DDR4 (RAM Disk maybe)  not sure what speed of Ram - looking for cost/performance

Hope to find a Black Friday deal on MB & Ram, maybe even Intel 750 PCIe SSD

Thoughts?

Did you decide on which MB to get?  Curious.

The $299 sale price on the EVGA X99 Classified is hard to ignore.

The updated BIOS(s) released should have resolved earlier adopters concerns.

I'm still checking the Black Friday & Cyber Monday deals.

OK, EVGA will launch X99 Dark on time with Intel i7-6950X 10 cores, 20 threads 20MB Cache.
If Intel want they could make base clock 3.0GHz and Turbo 4.0GHz.
But people will have small space for OC.
Intel i7-6950X-eVGA X99 Dark-Dominator Platinum 3000 C15 4x8GB...
That's nice setup.

Nothing new here. EVGA has had bugs with their motherboard bioses for a good while now.

On market at this moment is not capable to find some really solid motherboard without bugs where only random problems could happen and nothing specific. That's sad part of IT industry. It's nothing strange because it's much harder to build motherboard than anything else and many things could go wrong. Today no one can't recommend you some solid board famous as mobo without bugs for X99 or Z170 platform.
Example if you want solid board buy this or that... Not... Many motherboards offer excellent features and all of them are full of weak sides.

100% agree with you Vlada

As this is the reason I started this thread.  I was hoping that the "unhappy customer were the most vocal & most likely to write a review" - but it seems to be a mixed bag.  Everyone has their experience with their X99 MB.  Even experienced PC builders have had issues.    Too many unanswered questions - No clear winner.

One would have hoped that $300+ MB that are approaching 1 year old, would in fact have had hardware, firmware and BIOS issues put to bed by now.

As this build is going underwater in a custom loop; I do not want to be going through constant stability issues and dealing with RMA of new MB on this build, because I failed to do my research.

Instead it looks like you throw the dice, hoping the one you buy is defect free.

Wonder if it all traces back to the "made in China" that we are seeing, instead of the typical rush to market that is the root cause of the apparent validation & quality control short cumming with X99 MB.

Back to square One: undecided were to put my hard earned dollar and trust

If this is true, then going with a board backed by the best customer service is what I'd be going with (and am)...

If you're worried about getting a defective MB, just have it setup outside of the loop and run some testings.  I installed Windows and setup UEFI for my M.2 SSD prior to putting it into the loop which would be a pain to take apart.

Other than CPU cooling (would have to buy a heatsink as 5960X is bare CPU & was going under H2O) that is my plan as usual - test then install.

Yup. I used a H80 AIO and have a 212 incase.  Grab a 212 as their one of the best budgeted air coolers around.  Have that as a backup and use it for instances like these.

Thanks for the recommendations on cheap cooler for bench testing

Cool gtx, I hear what you saying about wanting to get the rigtht MB out the gate.  I agree with the poster that said to go with a company with customer service.  In my mind, EVGA would be at the top of that list, however, I like the MSI and bit more than the Classified.  Asus MB I like has issues that scares me and based on reviews their customer service is not the best, so I am staing away from them this go round.

I've decided to throw my money to the MSI X99S Xpower AC MB as it has the feature sets I like and want.  I am just waiting to see if the price will drop a bit soon.

I don't know what to recommend as X99 motherboard or Z170 motherboard.
First time in life. You can recommend only because you are are fan of some brand or because good technical support or because glory of previous series and awards of previous models. Different not. No specific stable and solid board for these platforms.
I remember before Maximus V Extreme, Rampage IV Extreme, Rampage III Extreme, X58 Classified, some GIGABYTE X58 motherboards, they worked well. Last 2 years is disaster.
MSI X99S XPOWER AC is solid board...
If my R5E start to show sign of BSOD now I would probably replace for that motherboard because she is available in my country.
I say If... I would like to everything continue to work normal and I would like to stay on R5E mostly.
I choose that board I didn't choose MSI, that mean I like more R5E and I would like to stay good.

Don't buy MSI X99S XPOWER AC because USB 3.0 only X99A XPOWER AC have Internal USB 3.1.
If you want know to invest in X99 no reason to look boards without USB 3.1
