anyone pick this game up? It makes me think of Eve with its mechanics and style. Its a VERY complex game that has a very big learning curve. I picked it up and really enjoy it, but than also get very frustrated a LOT. Its a MAJOR time sink when you do decide to login and play for a bit.

It was a mistake to buy ED while it was on sale. They're releasing a totally new expansion Monday for beta that requires 100% new purchase. The ED sale was a bait and switch ploy on their part. If you buy ED, buy ED: Horizons Beta Monday on.

Play for a bit? HAHA, more like play for 3 hours... Funny thing is, it really does not feel like you spent 3 hours playing this game. The game is pretty amazing really.

EDIT: I sat down to play for a bit once and lost my whole day off.

Yea I bought the game late Friday afternoon and by last night I already logged 20hrs and thats working 8hrs Sat / Sun lol. Its by no means a short investment lol. I am thoroughly enjoying it and probably will more when I get more familiar with mechanics and such.

I bought a joystick to play the game with. While the game plays really well with a joystick, it really is NOT needed. I actually like playing with the mouse and keyboard better.
