Looks like all the R9 cards and Fury cards got a price cut.

R9 Fury X
Original MSRP : $649
Down To $589, $569 After Rebate

that's more like it.
I think the furyX should be 550 if they really want to take some more of the market back.

Amd says they aren't responsible for the cut and to expect the prices to go back later.

I just wish we could back to GTX 200 series pricing, $350-400 top end single GPU, $550-650 for dual GPUs.

I just wish we could back to GTX 200 series pricing, $350-400 top end single GPU, $550-650 for dual GPUs.

I would be satisfied with 500-550$ premium single and 700-800$ dual.
One day that will happen, market can't work long time on this way. People will figure out if they play new games one year after launch they could save a lot of money and if they buy configuration 12-18 months after launch date they could pay half of money.
Because of that less and less people will be ready to constantly pay 1000$ for graphic cards and 1000$ for high end platform. You see now who didn't pay 1200-1300$ for X99 now could build for 700$. In mean time nothing serious happen on market and people who done that didn't lose nothing. Only they can't say we upgrade first month.
If gamers delay playing of 1-2% most graphic demanding games for 12-15 months they could pass much cheaper. They could buy same, 980Ti, TITAN X, etc... Only when price become 500-550$ instead to constantly pay mid range and play newest games without filters.
And I think that's only save for AMD... To launch new Zen processor with nice performance and to back price of their hardware on beginning, no matter what NVIDIA do... Example Fury X to cost 450$... They could make profit and with much lower price only now companies used to earn more. But that could really back many customers to AMD. Imagine now example most expensive cards from AMD 450$.
Than no looking who is better for 5-10% with so good prices...
People wait to NVIDIA launch GTX980Ti for much lower price than TITAN X and similar or even better performance but if you look better all good GTX980Ti models similar to TITAN X cost 50-100$ less than TITAN X. Without all CUDA cores, with 6GB memory and again price is very similar.

Nobody want to stay without PhysX just like that.

Can't you still do PhysX as long as you have an nVidia card in the system?

    Example: GPU 1 = AMD Fury X
    GPU 2 = GTX 480 for PhysX

or does that not work anymore?
