So this morning when I went to use my computer I notice that one of my two monitors was very fuzzy looking and blurry.  Now this happened after just bringing the monitor out of standby not sleep mode. I actually have sleep mode turned off. I had to restart the PC for it to go away. Something I thought was weird was that my second monitor was fine ,it was only the first one.  At this point I am just worried that something major is wrong with my system.  It should be noted I haven't been able to recreate the issue since it first happened this morning. I am thinking that maybe it has to do with the fact that the one that had the issue was on Display Port while the one that was unaffected was using DVI.

And if it helps here are the specs of the GPU and Monitor
(asus vg248qe  @144hz) X2
GTX 980 ACX 2.0 (Ref Clocks and no OC on the card at all)

Standby/Sleep + bad DisplayPort cable is a known issue.  You need displayport.org certified cables.  I'm using 2 on 2 displays and have never seen this and always use standby/sleep.   1 dell 1 benQ monitor

Well I've ordered some more display port cables. However after troubleshooting for about a week. I am starting to think its a combination of Multimonitor/Diplayport being buggy with Windows 10. The monitor in question went days without issues running off the display port when I plugged in just one monitor. Issue only occurs when I have two monitors and even then the issue is highly intermittent so this is going to be very hard to pin point.

Running Windows 10 here.  1 DP -> DVI adapter for older monitor.  1 DP -> DB monitor ([link=mailto:4K@60hz]4K@60hz[/link]),  and 1 DP on motherboard -> monitor.

Occasional flickers *can* be a driver thing, but most of the time it is bad cable.  You can verify cable usually by wiggling it in certain places to see if something then changes.

Yep had this issue for a few months and tried different cables and ended up finding ones listed on displayport.org and issue has been resolved for me.
