Hey all!
Quick question if you are an Asus PG278Q owner. Does your monitor get hot? Specifically between the Asus logo on the bottom of the bezel and the far right corner of the bezel. It is extremely hot on mine, I can't touch it for more than a second or two. I've heard it's normal for a gsync monitor to get "warm", but this seems abnormal to me. Also, the power brick for the monitor is hot as well.
If there's anyone out there with this monitor, could you please let me know if yours gets this hot as well? Already had to RMA one of these monitors, hoping I don't have to go through that again haha!

Neither my monitor or the power brick is hot. The brick gets barely warm. EDIT: I do have the same monitor as you.

My brick gets "slightly" warm,but nothing that really concerns me.I have really enjoyed this monitor for gaming and feel so lucky compared to all that have had problems with dead pixels/heat etc.

Monitor does not get super hot to the touch in the location that you're talking about. Brick gets slightly warm. I've had my swift since release, no problems thus far.

Mine never got hot in the place that you spoke of but after 1 year just got the dreaded flickering/ blurry text........RMA time.

Remember when you didn't have to do that cause it disabled by itself in the old days? Then a driver broke it and forced it on forever, and its still not fixed......

Yeah, the way it should be and is supposed to work. Kind of ticks me off...

I've noticed that on many monitors that brick can get hot. I have a piece of aluminum foil underneath mine. I don't know if that is the best idea but I don't want the heat to discolor my desk.

You can disable it at desktop and then enable it in game. You simply disable it, then go and select it for each game that you play. This turns it on automatically when you start every game that you play. You can do this for ULBM too.

Yeah, it really is the best solution. I like doing things this way, because then I can be selective for each game. For Fallout 4 type games, I like Gsync. For FPS games, I like ULBM.
