They have since replaced it and allowed the November update to be downloaded once more.

CPU-z was the only software I noticed was uninstalled by this update.  So far that is...

What would you call it? It started with the release of Bing which was being touted as a 'Decision Engine' and not a 'Search Engine' as if I need someone like Microsoft making my decisions. Now it seems like they are trying to expand their decision domain to include which software we decide to run. Harumph!

Wait till one of your friends does a mod for Fallout 4 and shares it with you and Microsuck decides that it's harmful to your system and trashes everything tied to your game. Or it doesn't like a beta driver you installed and locks you out. Soon human decisions will be removed from strategic defense. Windows 10 begins to learn at a geometric rate. Then it begins and I will begin the "I told you so" posts...

At this point it is not certain just what it will remove. As you have essentially agreed with Microsoft to allow it to make those decisions on your behalf when you installed Windows 10.

It does not surprise me, as my predictions I made earlier where I posted on another thread are showing true accuracy... Many will go back to Windows 7/8, and won't use windows 10. Watch, it will happen.

Some people are as stubborn as mules and will keep banging their heads against the wall because Microsoft insists that Windows 10 is their best most stable OS ever. I know better.

If it's beyond the 30 day install window their previous install key for Windows 7/8/8.1 have been disabled in favor of the association for Windows 10. They'd have to call Microsoft to have that reverted, if possible.

I didn't think anyone here was old enough to remember what a 'dumb terminal' was.

Who has had legit software removed? I meant, let's be serious. We gave them permission to remove it, so.. What has actually been removed? Can someone point out what is missing so far?

I don't want speculation, just honest answers of what has been removed that was legit purchased. Anything that was pirated need not apply.

I haven't seen or heard of a Dumb Terminal since I worked in a factory assembling them back in the 80's.

They used to get soooo mad at me for taking extra parts and constructing my own contraption. All I could do with it was get online using a telephone modem at a whopping 300 baud. 1200 baud was still on the horizon. Only two types of keyboards, Keytronics and Cherry.

CPU-z was the only software I noticed was uninstalled by this update. So far that is...

Maybe it's free but that's legit. To me, this just opens the door for more things down the road. I know many people here probably actually read the TOS or whatever agreement on software and whatnot. Some times I do, sometimes I don't. I bet that the noob buying his first computer at Best Buy or people like my parents wouldn't read through it. I don't think any of them would assume that whatever software they may get may be controlled by Microsoft for whatever reason they feel fit.

Many stores display the sign that reads "we have the right to refuse service to anyone" most of the time, that is not enforced. What if said store decided that they would no longer serve anyone with dark skin or over a certain weight or under a certain height?... Hey, that's their terms of service, right? I mean, it's posted on the sign...

Many products we use including our gasoline have warnings such as "has been know to cause cancer". What if the next batch of whatever product had a 100% get ball cancer rate and thousands were affected. Would that still be ok since they had the label? There has got to be a limit of how much control and accountability one entity has over a majority. I think if people knew the entire truth about Windows 10, they wouldn't be using it or would consider some active measures or at the very least, let Micro-skynet-soft know that the control they have been given is too much and it's not ok. That's my 8 cents.

I still had one of these in perfect condition in my mother's garage but after she passed away my younger, scumbag, ex-cop brother stole all of my property I had stored there.

See, I don't use reddit so I would have never seen this.

Them Uninstall in something like cpu-z is concerning. I wonder what their premise is behind removing specific softwares. I haven't even looked to see if the fall update was applied to my win 10 build just yet.
