So I was playing csgo a few mins ago and heard a noise from my case and then my video card lost single to monitor. I opened the case to see black stuff all over my computer. I have a 780 GTX and I've never overclocked it or anything. I paid around 500 for this card back when it came out. What can I do about this issue? So I am now using my old 6970s in crossfire til I can figure out what can be done.
03G-P4-2781-KR is the model number

That's a really weird issue. You might want to do a little investigating and make sure you don't have a bad voltage ground in your monitor which could give you the result your seeing and take out your next card too.....along with the current ones your running. When your DVI plug looks like that it is a bad sign!!

It was from the fan not working so the card got really hot til it shut down. This card always ran hot when gaming since day one. The fan bearings are bad so the fan is able to move around inside which is why the fan was rubbing against the cover. The plug is the black stuff from the fan that went through the vents I believe. Everything is good now with my old 6970 in there til I can get this one rma. I was able to talk to James over the phone and he said they will most likely replace the card. Thanks for the help everyone. Happy holidays :)

Exploding fan bearing. Impressive. I'm guessing that black crap is the bearing lubricant... well and truly cooked, lol.
