I currently have a DP55WG with a ATI HD5830 gpu installed. Everything works fine with the ATI but when I installed the GTX 670 the computer will not post and generates a 5A error on the motherboard. So I put the ATI card back in. Per specs this card should be compatible with the board? Anyone seen any issues with this combo? Yes I have updated the bios.

What kind of PSU are you trying to run the card on?

The link shows all of the error codes but A5 isn't listed. What kind of power draw does your old card need? Your 670 typically needs a good higher wattage card 500W+

I think I am good on the PSU. I have a 1000w BFG model BFGR1000WEXPSU. Crazy thing is I can add both cards and the computer will boot but I still do not get any video from the GTX. I also tried installing the driver and the driver saw the card and installed but it still did not display.

Also with both cards installed he BIOS sees the GTX, just running it by itself is giving me nothing.

Have you tried firmware flashing the card to the latest bios version? If that doesn't work you can either underclock the card or just RMA it.

It is very likely that the motherboard's bios, a P55 from 2009,  is out of date a does not support Nvidia's 600 series and likely above. I would suggest making sure that the bios is fully up to date on the motherboard before installing the gtx 670. If you are still unable to boot with the gtx 670 I would suggest testing it in a more up to date system to confirm if it is working or not as well as contact the motherboard manufacturer to see if your model does support Nvidia's 600 series GPUs.

Thanks I tried that and it did not work. The firmware application did not even see the card.

Thanks, I updated the bios on this years back and that was the newest and no more since. I think 2011 was the last bios made. I will check with Intel and see. I noticed you all have a P55 board it works with, when did that come out?
