Hey guys, I'm new to the forum so please don't lynch me if I've accidently posted in the wrong place. :P I've also sent an email to support staff too but having a super-knowledgeable community help me out too would be super helpful. :)
I'm having your typical, "No signal" on my monitor issue...my system specifications are the following.
CoolerMaster HAF Stacker ( a 915 on the bottom, a 935 in the middle and a 915 on top)
AMD FX-8350
Gigabyte 990-FXA UD3 REV 4.0
EVGA ACX 2.0 SC 980Ti With back-plate
2 x crucial MX100 256 BG SSDs
1 x WD Black 4TB hard drive
Superflower 80+ gold 750W PSU
4x G.Skill Ares 4GB DDR3 RAM modules
9x corsair sp120 fans
1x cougar 140mm fan
4x led strips
I’ve recently upgraded from a r9 290x, to an EVGA 980 ti. However I get no signal to my monitor?
As a side-note, the system is water-cooled. My CPU has an EK Supremacy EVO block on it and the EVGA graphics card has an Aquacomputer titan X water-block and back-plate on it. I am using XSPC soft high-flex tubing and I’m running 3 (120mm) triple radiators, two hardware labs black ice 360mm rads and one XSPC EX 360 mm. All rads have corsair sp120mm fans. I have two d5 pumps in series one vario and one pwm.
The water-cooling loop is brand new and there are no leaks. I have leak tested for hours. There is no water damage to the PCB, I tested the card with it’s original cooler in my friend’s rig yesterday and it worked fine, we even tested it with furmark and it performed similarly to her g1 gaming.
However when I reinstalled my card back again into my Desktop I do not get any signal to my monitor which is an ACER H276HL Monitor 27" IPS Monitor.
My friends rig:
NZXT Source S40
Core i7 4790k devil’s canyon
Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H
Gigabyte 980ti g1 gaming (this is the card that she replaced with mine)
1 x crucial mx100 256 GB SSD
1 x WD black 2TB hard drive
EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2 ATX PSU
2 x G.Skill Ares 4GB DDR3 RAM Module
Additionally to that, when I install an old graphics card ( AMD Radeon HD 7770) into my motherboard and try get signal off that, it works perfectly fine! And I can jump straight into windows!!!!
I am running, the video signal off a DVI-D cable, the GPU has a DVI-A on it, but as far as I’m aware that should be fine. I even tried running an HDMI cable and I still got no signal though. I’ve tried disconnecting the SSD which contains the graphics drivers in it and that did no good. I tried resetting the CMOS, buy both using a CMOS bridge and reseating the battery. I’ve tried reducing static build up in my monitor by unplugging everything and pressing the power button for 30 seconds. I’ve even gone as far as to replace my motherboard!!!! Nothing works!! Please help!
I don’t know if it’s a power draw issue, I’ve used online calculators several times and it has given me about 100-50 W wiggle room though, so I don’t see why my pc is spectacularly failing.
Yes, i’ve tried turning it on and off again, more times than I can count. :P
