    We'll have more, just a matter of when.  I was hoping to get another pair myself for some DIY projects.

    I looked and saw they are still on the website. They're just out of stock. How about Amazon or Newegg?

    They're not out of stock, they're just not listed anymore. Other shops: not in stock or not listed.
     
    Seems like those backplates are not coming back :(

    I'm having the same issue here in Germany. There isn't a single company in the entire EU that seems to have any 980 SC backplates, and there aren't any on the EVGA webshop either. You'd think a €500 card would come with one as standard, but apparently not. You'd also think that, with the 900 series still being current and in production, that backplates would still be available. What gives EVGA?

    In Brazil I can't find the 980 backplate either, I would prefer if all EVGA cards come with backplate even if I have to pay a bit extra for it, I see other brands with the same price tag with backplates, I buy EVGA because of the great customer support, but this is a point where the competition is ahead.
