I am gathering parts for my new build. The foundation of the build will be the Caselab SMA8, water cooled. I plan to go SLI, just not sure if it will be 2 or 3 cards at this point. I debated between the 5280 and 5930, but the 5930k was on sale for the same price as the 5820, so I picked it up. I need some ideas on the MB (X99 board). There are quite a few choices, but I am not familiar with all the brands. I've used Asus in the past for my 1st two builds (see sig). So, if you don't mind can you throw some suggestions, including why, my way. or point me to some helpful info? I am also researching the brands; Asus, EVGA etc, but also like to hear folks experiences and suggestions.

Note: A couple boards that caught my eye are: EVGA Classified and the Asus X99 Delux (seen some negative reviews on this one) - thoughts on these?

Thanks...Al

Evga X99 "Classified" would be the best choice.

I don't plan to do any OC with nitrogen, so is it still wise to connect both 8 pins to the cpu?  Also, how much does not having Sata Express affect your build?

    Thanks
